@HyperXT @stan_boyd @Vodoo its possible, or maybe he just grew up and has played other games that have improved the genre, I thought arena was amazing when it came out, and I thought daggerfall was amazing, but now when I play them I can't stand them cause they suck compared to morrowind, oblivion and skyrim, some games were so good that they can stand the test of time like super metroid while other games not so much, like double dragon for example was awesome in its time, but then came games like final fight, streets of rage and turtles in time which make double dragon look like crap imo
@HyperXT @Vodoo thats really the only reason to get it. I recently bought the ninja turtles movies on dvd, they are terrible movies compared to todays standards in costumes and special effects and some of the acting is downright hokey, but I love it because its a part of my childhood, but a grown man who watched it today who never saw it as a child wouldn't have the same love that I have for it. This game is good for nostalgia, but as a stand alone game in todays market its shallow and easy.
@rktPYZQShWz because from a dev standpoint no more disks would be fantastic, with everything being digital they can make games without the restrictions of disk size.
@Vodoo @stan_boyd yeah people are getting all uppity over this review because of their fond memories of the game, but compared to modern platformers this game is so simple and shallow, super meatboy has far superior physics, braids time bending adds whole new dimensions to puzzle solving, limbo had some physics puzzles as did portal, psychonauts on the original xbox and xbox arcade had one of the funniest and brilliant stories around and 3d environments brought a whole new ball game that nes games couldn't do.
@hateyourface @stan_boyd how is them adding more story and voice acting and cutscenes any different from a movie changing the script but keeping the same general overall story and setting?
@Vodoo @stan_boyd my first gaming rig was a commodore 64, I used to kill skool daze, thought that game was amazing, I fear what I would think if I played it now.
@Vodoo ha ha I remember watching he-man and loving it as a kid, I recently tried watching it on teletoon retro and it was awful, same with GI Joe and Power Ranger, while my memories of them were of fondness now I look and them and think "how lame was I to think this was awesome"
@armpitpuncher @madsnakehhh I agree armpit puncher and compared to platformers nowadays this game is to shallow and easy, now where is my next super meatboy or beyond good and evil
