@markml99 what about the millions of gamers that have never seen the show or played the old game cause they were born during the snes, or ps1 era? do they have to give the game nostalgia points even though they have no nostalgia?

I somewhat agree, this is where gaming will eventually lead, like it or not, when I turn on my ps3 xbox or pc all of them connect automatically, and microsoft wanted to go digital where disc size would no longer hamper a games development, they had that idea for the shared plan where you and 10 friends could share digital copies with each other almost as if you were trading games and with my PC all my games are digital, its hard to find pc games on disc anymore, most of my games are on Steam or Origin.

@WarGrad so what you are saying is that games should be rated on nostalgia and not on its actual gameplay? therefore duke nukem should of been at least an 8 because it had the same old duke nukem humor and it had boobies like the old games so therefore nostalgia makes it an instant 8+

@keech @Mega_Loser I agree with it being either held to todays standards or not being reviewed at all, after all alot of todays gamers never owned a nes or this game and so nostalgia is not going to make them enjoy this game and if they bought it because it got great reviews and then played it, they would most liked be dissapointed in its shallow gameplay and simple puzzles.

@Chr0noid or maybe there are so many sequels because sequels always sell, look at call of duty and its ridiculous amount of sales, look at mario and zelda, look at assassins creed, all these games keep putting out game after game and they keep selling like hotcakes so why do something creative when you don't need to and sometimes when you try and be creative you fail like with beyond good and evil which was a great game and most reviewers agreed that it was great yet noone bought it cause they were to busy buying halo and ratchet and clank and all the other sequels that were coming out.

@69 @psuedospike @ChiefFreeman I remember thinking it was awesome as a kid, but I am grown up now, maybe I just can't enjoy it anymore. I also can't watch G I Joe or Power Rangers anymore now I just find them so corny that I can't handle it, same with He-Man.

@psuedospike @stan_boyd I do play classics, lots of them, but they are classic to me because I played them when they were relevent. Games have improved for the most part over the years as technology has gotten better, so now playing old games that I never played before just seem dull because I played more modern stuff that is better. Like to this day I love super metroid more than Metroid Prime, but my sister who never played super metroid til after the primes thinks its boring and would rather play metroid prime. nostalgia plays a big role in music/movies/games etc that we enjoy. I grew up listening to 90's grunge, punk and metal and I cannot really stand any new punk or metal and grunge is pretty much non existant now. I grew up watching movies like Die Hard and Terminator that most younger people now say are corny with lousy scripts and acting.

@Sonicgod ugh deep is not the same as realistic? would you like burnout if it had no crash mode, less responsive controls, less cars, no e-brake etc etc etc, basically would you like burnout if it was just like top gear from the nes/snes era with new visuals but same dated gameplay?

@psuedospike @stan_boyd this games physics and puzzles are very simplistic by todays standards and it does make it a terrible game to kids that didn't grow up in the 80's and 90's. I have a snes and genesis emulator with tons of games, and I have tried playing games that others say are classic that I missed when they first came out for some reason or other and playing them today did them no justice, gunstar heroes actually happens to be one these games, while you might play it with fond memories I lack these fond memories and all I see are dated gameplay mechanics when I play gunstar heroes or even sonic the hedgehog cause I never owned a genesis. So when kids of this generation play ducktales they aren't going to see an awesome game of the past, they are going to see dated gameplay physics and mechanics that are shallow and easy.

@psuedospike @stan_boyd I agree that its retarded, it shouldn't have been reveiewd at all, the people who want to play this game are the same people who liked it on nintendo and this is all about the nostalgia, as far as new gamers go they will find this game to be shallow and easy and won't really like it cause they weren't around to appreciate the original. Remakes should not be reviewed because to review them fairly is impossible, if you do it with nostalgia glasses on they will get high scores, if you take the glasses off they will get low scores.
