@7tizz: Ridiculous! You come into a Switch article to purposely do what you try to call me out for, challenging everyone else tastes? We know what your taste is, it's your personal pic for Christ sake. Go to an Xbox article then, hypocrite.
@7tizz: uh no, it doesn't. You already have that Xbox, is the point--most of those games you own, aren't going to be patched for the X, just like the pro. I'm not knocking the Xbox 1 X (I have it preordered, and own the ps pro), but it's not necessary for most gamers, while the Switch could be.
@Browngamer4: I've read it will actually run at a consistent 60fps with the same number of enemies on screen as other versions. Will it look as good as the PS4 or PC? No, but it will be better than most think it will be, and damn good for what's basically a tablet with removable controls. I'm impressed.
@Utnayan: I personally think the Switch is the perfect console for Rocket League (and this). RL will get a new audience, and have another huge bump in popularity.
@neurogia: I wouldn't compare the two, they're on completely different levels. Production time, and cost is absolutely higher for Mario. If Knack fails, it's not a big deal for Sony, but if a major Mario game, for their new system (which is lacking games, just like all systems experience) is a failure, ouch. Comparing the two would be like comparing Zelda breath of the wild, to Recore, on Xbox one. They're $40 games, while the others are franchise staples with almost unlimited resources.
@hmanz8000: Except a ton of remasters came out last gen, and there are a ton of new games this gen. It's all your perspective. I have as many remasters on my PS3, as I do my PS4. Besides a great game from the past, with current gen graphics, is a great thing. People can call these things a cash grab, but the developers wouldn't waste their time unless they thought they could get that cash, which means, there is a demand for it. If not, it will fail. I understand (I think) your underlying point, but from my perspective, more games is always a good thing. Even a crappy game can influence the current, or next generation of developers to make new, great content.
I really tried to like it at launch, but it was so formulaic. That's not always a bad thing--realistically, most all games are repetitious, but parts of this formula I just didn't like. Specifically, the driving. More specifically, the driving chase scenarios. Chasing a car that can magically turn on a dime, while I'm driving an aircraft carrier that gets hung up on a little fence got old real quick. The rest of the game I enjoyed though, so maybe I'll give it a second chance if I get it cheap down the line.
This is easily the best review for Knack 2 I've read. Obviously everyone will have their own opinion of the final score, but this was as non bias as I've read, which I feel like is becoming common in a lot of reviews today. Most reviews focus on the lack of story in this game--is that going to come up in Mario Odyssey reviews? I'm not trying to compare the two, but some games get a pass, and others don't. Anyway, A good reviewer rates based on what the game is, and what it's trying to do, not what the individual thinks it should be.
