@deviltaz35: Well duh. I obviously meant, it's obvious that tens of thousands of people, including: government, NASA employees, the Russians (that picked up our transmissions all the way and back), and old greg, were paid or threatened to be quiet all these years. I mean, like it's soooo obvious the moon is where the illuminati keep the lock Ness monster, because he's actually a lizard alien from the future. I thought everyone knew this stuff. ;)
I love GoW 3, but the rest were hit or miss for me, though I respect the series as a whole. I'm excited they're trying something new. Sometimes a fresh coat of paint can reinvigorate a stale series. Look at Resident Evil. 4 was amazing, and even other developers couldn't wait to incorporate it's ideas into their games (seriously, how many games started using the same over-the-shoulder camera perspective after RE4 did it?). RE7--inspired by the PT demo that would have become Silent Hills--changed the formula, and with the added VR mode, definitely reinvigorated that series. Maybe some change is just what God of War needs. We'll find out next month.
@Deckard2323: What are you playing that's so "grown up?" Got some cool guy dating sim? Maybe a work simulator? I liked pizza when I was a kid, and I still like it now--more even. It's the same with video games.
@rglgathrawn: Naughty Dog is owned by Sony. When they made Crash, they were under Universal games, which sold to Activision. Their people did the remake, not Naughty Dog.
@straightcur: Sony music France owns the previous album designs, though he was not compensated for new designs. If it was as simple as you say, there would be no controversy. I'm sure he had a very specific contract, for very specific work, which these posters are not part of. If Disney wanted to fight, they have the money to probably get away with it, but the backlash isn't worth it. He'll get compensated.
@Jarten: True, I'm only pointing out that what makes this different is that the posters are promotional marketing used specifically to generate money by selling the film. I'm willing to bet Disney will quietly compensate him. But yeah, this happens pretty often.
