@RogerioFM: Glad to hear it. Hopefully your running around Hyrule, having a great time exploring, or seeing everything Mario can throw Cappy on. I personally recommend the pro controller--it's not absolutely necessary, but it's great for playing Zelda, and the battery life is like 30-40 hours on one charge.
@RogerioFM: Yes. I was in the same boat--constantly going back and forth trying to decide whether or not to buy. Well, I did, and I'm very happy I did. It's a rad system with a lot of awesome games this early in it's life cycle, and that looks to continue. I mean, Bayonetta 1 & 2 is coming in February, and the 3rd at a later date. Zelda is as good as the reviews say, and so is Mario Odyssey. Just buy it, you won't regret it.
@super-khalid89: don't forget Bayonetta 1 and 2 in February. I already own them on Wii u, but it's awesome that I'll have them portable--plus, 3 coming later!!!
Damn, this is a tough year for this job. My personal favorite is Zelda BotW, but I know a lot of people think Nintendo is just kids stuff--whatever. I haven't played Divinity, and I seriously doubt anyone here played every single amazing game that was released across all platforms this year, so it's just my opinion. I did complete Mario, Nier, Persona5, Gravity Rush2, and Horizon--wouldn't be upset to see any of these win. I finished a bunch of other games from this year, but those are the top tier of what I played. Resident Evil7, Cuphead, and a bunch of others were great, but not quite in my top. Not that it matters--people will be infuriated regardless of the winner. Bring on 2018--I really need Spider-Man, GoW, That samurai game from Sucker Punch, Smash Bros Switch (you know it's coming), and the N64 mini!!!
@deviltaz35: No, I guess it was very limited. The email says you have 14 days to decide, though one day was apparently too many, lol. Oh well, my neck is jacked up anyway. I doubt I could use VR properly anyway. I agree about the 1x too. It's a super impressive system, though unnecessary for most. I'd wait, but if Microsoft is giving me $200 anyway, I might just go ahead and get it. Or, maybe I'll use it towards the ton of games coming early next year.
I got the email yesterday--I have until the 14th to decide. I might considering it's $300 for the whole thing. I also just finished doing the Fall Xbox gaming study. I did 8 surveys--one a week for eight weeks, and they're sending me two $100 American Express gift cards. Would it be wrong if I spend that on the PSVR? I'll probably just put it towards a 1X.
Edit: Nevermind, it's full. It says, "We're sorry, we have reached the maximum number of users who could sign up to try PlayStation VR. Please check your email for future programs from PlayStation." Oh well, Xbox 1x it is.
