@7tizz: You mean like Microsoft? It was so fun seeing the unveiling of some Porsche...wow. Wasting 15 minutes to talk about Minecraft in 4k...sooo fun. Who cares about the pointless stuff? The games look great, quit being an Xbox shill. Every system has great games.
So freaking excited for this game. Two of my favorite things--Insomniac and Spider-Man--my brain is in critical overload after how amazing this year has been. 2018 is shaping up to be incredible.
@videogameninja: Insomniac always comes through for me, though like Sunset Overdrive, their games don't always impress the mass audience the way they impress me. I can't wait personally. Looks fantastic.
@lebanese_boy: Sony already owns the movie rights to Spider-Man. They possibly added it to the deal with Disney, for them to use the character in their movie universe. Just a guess, plus Insomniac has long been considered a second party studio with Sony. Most of their games are exclusive to PlayStation, even though they're not owned by them.
@Ballroompirate: Ha ha ha haaaa!!! You got me Einstein--me and the millions of people which enjoyed the game, are dumb, high school dropouts, but you are the savior of gaming. Thank you for showing me the light. I've been enjoying a terrible game this entire year. I'm glad you taught me and everyone about genetics. Sincerely, thank you. You're doing God's work.
@Ballroompirate: "If you know anything about genetics"??? What!? LOL! The game sucks because you're a genetics expert?...Really? The game mechanics (in my opinion) are great, and that's more important than little details of the story. SJW, blah blah blah, yeah yeah, whatever. That silly concept doesn't make playing the game bad. I think Mario is a silly little fat plumber, but the games are great. To each their own, I guess.
There are just more games, in general, in the market. AAA single player games aren't going away. Mario Odyssey, Zelda BotW, Gravity Rush, Wolfenstein, and a ton other great single player games came out this year, and a ton more will come out next year. There is a place for single player, multiplayer, and online multiplayer games, and it will only get better. Horizon is a fantastic game, and I look forward to more single player experiences like it.
