I'm going to be placingmy application for one of those high rise buildings in the uber dark city of Versus XIII. I figure if I choose the world I also choose the "whole world" and VXIII is inheriting theupgraded battle system of Kingdom Hearts II. Dual wielding acrobatics? Yes please! I also figure if I have someone like The Prince in the trailer protecting my city I have nothing to fear at all.

I tried that andit took me almost 3 full months to get through them all. Igotway too zoned out and went on auto pilot after a week. After a while you notice alot of the same kinds of things and it really does end up feeling like you've played through one immense game from Origins toAnthology (the PSOne releases, not the SNES originals) simply due to the graphicand gameplay styles (because they were all released on the PSOne they all feel the same). I thanked my respective holy deity when Igot to VII because the upgrade in gameplay and everything else. It's nice to see where it started and where it went. Good luck myFF compatriot! Keep the hope alive :)

So far I have no problems with Dawn of Mana. As long as you don't mind repetedly scouring the world for things to hurl at foes then it is an ok game. I just got to chapter 3 so I have no real strong opinions about the story, only that it seems pretty cookie cutter right now (no twists yet). I do recommend to rent first because this is a very niche game.

Tri-Ace's first game was Tales of Phantasia when it was associated with Namco. The following games after that have all been associated with that sort of intense action battle system. The original Valkyrie (PS1) and Star Ocean (Super Famicom) games are associated with Enix before the merger. The only thing I could find within the Tri-ace company was that SE was a publisher of all of the games only and has no real direct contact with the battle system/ items/ storylines of any Tri-ace game. Star Ocean: Til the End of Time also has the SE logo on the box and (other than story and characters of course) is the exact same as Valkyrie Profile 2. So I guess, in essence, yes you could call Tri-ace a developer for SE but from what I can find I think that's as far as it goes. (Wikipedia and google references)

I owned the original Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy (see my icon :) ) I played them constantly and still do thanks to the power of Emulators. I have just gotten the chance to re-play the original Dragon Warrior and the original Final Fantasy from the NES days. To be honest I am glad they remained completely true to the series as far as the text based battle system goes. The game is actually very fun. Of course the graphics have picked up in the last 2 decades but the main character "Hero" in DQ8 not talking bugs the crap out of me (I know he doesn't talk because you can name him but look at Final Fantasy X you could name Tidus too but they wrote the script so perfectly that no character ever actually said "Tidus"!). For those of you who haven't played the original, I laughed my butt off when I found out that the noise DQ8 makes when you miss an enemy (that little blip noise) is the EXACT same noise as the original NES game from 1989. I bought the original Dragon Warrior in a box set with the original Final Fantasy (about 1991) from Toys R Us when I was 10 for my brand new NES system (hangs head in shame ... man I'm old :)

Hmmm let's see. Right now I'm playing Dragon Quest VIII (again, because I finally found the strategy gude for it) and Final Fantasy XII (again, finishing up the loose ends after beating it the first time). That's it for SE games. I'm also playing Valkyrie Profile 2:Silmeria (not SE but amazing none-the-less), Need for Speed Carbon and Samurai Warriors 2.

I would like to have a hint system that pops up over my head telling me exactly what I have to do next. Imagine how helpful that would be next time you're asked a tough question at work or by a girl/boy friend? "How does this look on me honey?" (box pops up) HINT: Do not answer that! It's a trap! :D

I have always been a fan of the Keyblade. It was just too original to go unnoticed by the gaming population...especially the Oblivion or the different Ultima Blades...and Sora's outfit changing/dual wielding in KH2 :D I would like to see more dual wielding (Final Fantasy III for the DS)

I like Red XIII and Vivi for being the last of their kinds and still going out of their way to help to save the future even if it is for others. And yet ::spoiler alert:: there are more of both of them at the ends of their respective games (huh :? ) I also like Red for his finding new respect for a father he literally didn't know anything about. Great stories and nice positive attitudes.

I'm going to have to say 1000 words because it is the only one that has actually brought me to tears when hearing it (and still does every now and again).
