I would say that cover art is irrelevant, but it is also how we view many works of art and acts as a reference point.

Whatever.

I don't get why they're so afraid though. Bioshock shipped 4 million copies. Are they worried it'll be a flop? I mean, cmon.

Syndicate the shooter deserves a look.

Top-notch graphics and the best guns I've ever played in a game.

It was overlooked b/c people wrote it off as a deus ex clone.

But seriously, it has some of the best gunplay in any modern shooter.

OP is racist.

Learn history. There were free blacks in that time, who owned property. Blacks were about 10% of the population of the North, and in many southern states were the majority of people.

Lead and Gold -- Western shooter with light MMO aspects and great gunplay

King Arthur the Role-playing game -- Engrossing atmosphere and artwork. Very strong narrative

Firefall is a great example of an open-world game where you have all choices.

I realized that what I dislike about GTA 4 really is how scripted the missions are. Like, after having all of that freedom in the city, you end up having to do some dumb escort mission or wait for enemies to spawn. And watch tons of cutscenes.

You don't seem to have much creativity in the path to victory in missions. The only real fun I have in the game is racking up police stars because there your creativity is all that matters. No mission scripting.

I actually feel like GTA 4's missions are too scripted and don't allow me enough creativity in doing them.

I see many more obscure RTS and strategy titles coming out of Europe than the US. Also, more space flight games.

Paradox games is a great example. I really like them, but there's nothing quite like it in the US.

Things I've noticed...

Yeah, Asians are big on grindy MMO's. it reflects general Asian culture trends of authoritarian grindiness. Like, they need someone to tell them they're high level after putting in thousands of hours.

Americans are big on gore. Also, Americans are big on realistic modeling of guns, even at the expense of gameplay.

Europeans vary by country. Like, in Eastern bloc countries I notice that they are big on horror, like Metro 2033 and Cryostasis.

Germany I know of Crytech and its technical brilliance

England there's the GTA games which are very cynical

France has Ubisoft and its cultural emphasis.

In general I find European games aren't near as bloody and gory as American games. They seem to focus on other elements.

Japanese games are all about complexity and doing things differently. Didn't dance dance revolution start with japan? As well as the wii and every 3 part boss stage.

I played as a warrior my first time through. I might just play as a mage 2nd time through.

I'm thinking I might as well do a blood mage, though it'll take time to come up. Wonder what trees work well with it. Spirit? Elemental?
