@Darkefka @Axile11 @DarkSaber2k -- I think you mean "taking the OS of Windows Phone and putting it on a PC." Cause that's essentially what Microsoft did.

@alex-willoz @DarkSaber2k @Axile11 -- I'm pretty sure the new Windows 8 tablets can connect to a keyboard dock, making them semi-laptops.

And most of the new Windows 8 laptops also feature touch screens.

@Zic99 Dude, those were PROTOTYPES. Things can change in a year's time. Sony never promised any of that stuff, they were just target specs. They had to simplify the hardware to keep costs down.

@DrKill09 -- All those features you described are superfluous. They really aren't needed in a game console. Stop trying to compare game consoles with PCs.

The original Wii can't do that. I've deleted my Wii Shop account before (accidentally), and all my purchase history was deleted. I can't redownload any of my games, I have to rebuy all of them.

@Ferrybird To be fair, Steve was a brilliant businessman and marketing genius. He knew what people wanted before they knew it existed. See the iPod, iTunes, iPad, iPhone, iMac, etc.

That's like choosing Drew Carey to play Gabe Newel in a movie about Valve.
