I think I've decided on Counter-Strike: Source, but I'm wondering if it would be worth it to get the retail version for $15 with free shipping. Would I still be able to play with people on Steam? Also, it comes with Day of Defeat and Half Life 2 MP.

Yeah the retail version still uses steam you just intall it off the CD instead of downloading it.

CSS is still the king.

Just get Counter-Strike: Source and jump in the deep end.

If you get competent at CS you'll be alright at every FPS out there.

Well according to the game files the DLC isn't going to be exclusive for long so that's good.

The only other game that's really like GT is Forza and that's only on 360.

It's probably easier to just go out and get a PS3.. it's almost assured that there will be a GT5 bundle.
