Here in Aus we were gonna get the European release date as well but they changed it to the day after the US launch, I was happy.

Because you can aim, shoot (primary and secondary), sprint, move and jump without moving any of your fingers.

I play MP Halo on my 360 from time to time and while my reaction speed and alertness stays the same having to use the controller is like having a middle man between you and the game... you have to tell the controller what you want to do in the game where as if you're using a mouse it's like having your own hand in the game, it does exactly what you want it to do.

[QUOTE="ventnor"]

[QUOTE="DanielDust"] EA offers access to BETA, BETA is something that works, ALPHA is trash that even developers wouldn't want to touch. HoMM V alpha was the last alpha I touched...horrible, you'd have to be paid to play an alpha version and advertise it on various known forums.

DanielDust

Have you even tried Minecraft? (Not the browser version)

Nope, interesting concept but not the kind of game I'd waste time on.

So how do you know it's trash then? The alpha is as good as any full release indy game to be honest.

I would prepurchase a hell of a lot more games if they let you play the latest build up until release. Sure beats a couple of extra in game costumes.

Hearts of iron 3

Mazoch

This, it sounds like Hearts of Iron would be a perfect fit for what you're looking for.

Except it's missing half of the reason why people play TW games instead of Europa Universalis and the like.

People say Total War to describe the type of game they want, I don't think they mean specifically that it HAS to be developed by Creative Assembly at the expense of one of their projects like Rome 2 or whatever (because some people take this subject to heart).

I would love to see a game that takes core elements from TW games but changes them to make them work within the WW2 era and battles, this means having the world map where you can manage your country, diplomacy and armies etc and then a battle map where you can command your armies and use your own strategies to overcome undesirable odds.

Look at my sig below, my top played game recorded by xfire is Champions Online. I have played City of Heroes and currently Champions Online. Champions Online is an improvement from city of heroes with experience from that game added on. I have faith Cryptic Studios will put out a good game.Jd1680a

213 hours isn't really a lot, especially for an MMO.

Meh CoD looks fine compared to all other MP games of similar popularity.

Of course it doesn't look as good as Crysis, no other game does.

Yeah GT looks better but Forza has better simulation and feel... plus a better lineup of cars even if smaller.
