Damn, this is tough.

I'm in the market for a PS3 but don't know what to do. I really don't want to wait almost 2 months to get one (in May if there's that price drop), and if I do wait and the price drop doesn't happen I'll be annoyed as hell.

Any idea when these rumors will be confirmed or shot down? GDC? When is GDC?

Twisted Metal for the PS3. I know it's not announced or official yet but I'm sure it's inevitable.

GOW III of course.

I'll be getting a PS3 soon (just waiting to see if the price drops in the near future, if not I'm buying one)...but just a couple questions.

People say dust can be a problem. I assume this is referring to getting dust in the system where the fan is? How do you properly remove it? Just with a dustbuster?

Proper ventilation I hear is a big deal. I'm not planning to cramp my PS3 but it is going in a space where it'll be about a foot from the wall...hope that's okay? I also don't plan to play for more than an hour in a row so hopefully it shouldn't be a big deal.

Other recommendations for how to properly care for your PS3? Is there info in the manual?

Thanks.

I've rarely taken the PSP with me places but when I do it's great to have. Even at home it's like a portable console with some great games for great prices. You really can't go wrong with the PSP. Right now the hardware has peaked IMO; it's lighter, smaller, the graphics are jawdropping for a handheld etc.

My guess is Twisted Metal. Popular exclusive Sony franchise.

I am. It only happens in GTA 4 though. For example, I'll be capping people with the shotgun in the hospital, and it'll randomly start lagging, my PS3 fan will get loud as hell, and it won't stop until I turn off my PS3 and restart it. It doesn't happen with ANY other game. Help please!minotour12

My PS3 fan will get loud after about an hour of gameplay, but by then I'm ready to stop playing so it's never an issue. If you clean it like another poster said it should help, but given that it only happens with GTA4 I don't know. I wouldn't think much of it...I just guess GTA4 is a demanding game.
