My mom sent me these in an email :lol:

1. Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold the vegetables while you chop.
2. Avoid arguments with women about lifting the toilet seat by using the sink.
3. A mouse trap placed on top of your alarm clock will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.
4. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives. You'll be afraid to cough.
5. You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and it does, use the duct tape.
6. If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Well, I'm in a splint and can hardly walk :( Here's why:

My evil etymology teacher took us outside to play child games for review for tomorrow's test :evil: We were playing some game called Red Rover (or something like that) and when I ran up to the opposing line, I got strangled, so I fell and twisted my ankle on the way down :( Then, to make things worse, I landed on my foot, then some girl landed on me, and made it worse :cry:

My ankle is swollen to the size of a golfball, so my mom forced me to go to the doctor because she was afraid it might be broken :( This splint I got only makes things worse because I can harly walk :( I've already fallen down at least 3 times :evil: :cry:

I had my second spell bowl meet last night :D We needed 10 people to "officially" compete, but we only had 4 :( That would be me, Zach, and two kids named Zane and Aaron. Zane was too shy and wouldn't talk to anyone but his mom and sometimes the teacher, and Aaron wasn't shy enough and kept tormenting everying :evil: It was fun though :lol: I was the 2nd speller and got 5 words out of 9! :lol: Last time I only got 4, so this is an improvement :lol: Aaron got 3 words, Zach got 5, and Zane got 8 :D It's the best we've done all year :lol: :oops:

The funniest part about the meet was that I got a word I spelled wrong at the previous meet :lol: At least I spelled it right this time :lol:

:lol: I honestly can't remember the last time I posted a funny blog :( :oops: The place where I usually get the good stuff was messing up my computer, so I had to stop going there :( And then I got busy with school and emailing a new friend (:P) And not to mention this new layout that I still can't seem to get used to :cry: :evil: But, anyways, here is a blog that translates phrases said by women to their "actual" meanings :lol: Some of these are true for me :lol:

1. FINE

This is the word we use at the end of any argument that we feel we are right about
but need to shut you up. NEVER use fine to describe how a woman looks. This will
cause you to have one of those arguments.


2. FIVE MINUTES

This is half an hour. It is equivalent to the five minutes that your
football game is going to last before you take out the trash, so I
feel that it's an even trade.


3. NOTHING

This means something and you should be on your toes. "Nothing" is usually
used to describe the feeling a woman has of wanting to turn you inside out,
upside down, and backwards. "Nothing" usually signifies an argument that will
last "Five Minutes" and end with the word "Fine".


4. GO AHEAD (with raised eyebrows)

This is a dare. One that will result in a woman getting upset over
"Nothing" and will end with the word "Fine".


5. GO AHEAD (normal eyebrows)

This means "I give up" or "do what you want because I don't care". You will
get a raised eyebrow "Go Ahead" in just a few minutes, followed by "Nothing"
and "Fine" and she will talk to you in about "Five Minutes" when she cools off.


6. LOUD SIGH

This is not actually a word, but is still often a verbal statement very
misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot
at that moment and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and
arguing with you over "Nothing".


7. SOFT SIGH

Again, not a word, but a verbal statement. "Soft Sighs" are one of the few
things that some men actually understand. She is content. Your best bet is
to not move or breathe and she will stay content.


8. OH

This word followed by any statement is trouble. Example; "Oh, let me get that".
Or, "Oh, I talked to him about what you were doing last night". If she says "Oh"
before a statement, run, do not walk, to the nearest exit. She will tell you that
she is "Fine" when she is done tossing your clothes out the window, but do not
expect her to talk to you for at least 2 days. "Oh" as the lead to a sentence
usually signifies that you are caught in a lie. Do not try to lie more to get
out of it, or you will get raised eyebrows "Go ahead" followed by acts so
unspeakable that I can't bring myself to write about them.


9. THAT'S OKAY

This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can say to a man.
"That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before paying you
retributions for what ever it is that you have done.
"That's Okay" is often used with the word "Fine" and used in conjunction with
a raised eyebrow "Go Ahead". At some point in the near future when she has
plotted and planned, you are going to be in some mighty big trouble.


10. PLEASE DO

This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is giving you the chance to
come up with whatever excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is
that you have done. You have a fair chance to tell the truth, so be careful
and you shouldn't get a "That's Okay".

11. THANKS

A woman is thanking you. Do not faint, just say you're welcome.


12. THANKS A LOT

This is much different than "Thanks". A woman will say, "Thanks A Lot" when
she is really ticked off at you. It signifies that you have hurt her in
some callous way, and will be followed by the "Loud Sigh". Be careful not to
ask what is wrong after the "Loud Sigh", as she will only tell you "Nothing".

Well, I survived :lol: We needed 10 kids to compete, but we only had 3, so we had to combine with another school :( That would be me, my ex-boyfriend Zach, and my friend Kris. Out of 9 words, I spelled only 4 right :lol: :oops: But I think that's pretty good since I haven't studied at all yet :lol: :oops: Zach spelled 2 words right, and Kris only spelled 1 right :lol: Hopefully, we'll do better next time :lol:
