 See above thread.

Yes, it is coming to Gamecube.  It's avaialble for pre-order on the EA Sports website in their on-line store so I'd say that is pretty solid information that it is coming.

I had seen that same article, but it was still bothering me that the EA store was offering pre-orders for almost every system except the Gamecube.

However, I now see they are offering a Madden 2008 pre-order for the Gamecube:

So it official in my mind......Madden 2008 is definately coming to the cube.

Just wondering if anybody out there has heard anything more concrete on this.

My guess is that it will come based upon some of the stuff I've read, but still haven't seen anything real solid to convince me 100%.

Still bothers me a little that the EA sports official Madden website lists basically all the platforms for pre-order, except the Gamecube.

I've tried several times to e-mail EA sports to get a solid answer but I've had zero luck.

I'm still just trying to decide if I should get Madden 07 and get to work on the roster updates or just wait for 2008 to come out (if it's indeed coming).

I did go ahead and get Mario DD.

Really like the game and I think it is a perfect racing game for my situation.  Daughter has loved playing it, even though she's struggling a little with her first games.  Not doing so hot myself either.....

Think it'll provide alot of enjoyment.

I went ahead and got it.  Was only $9.99 and was brand-new, still in the shrink wrap.  Figure I really can't go too wrong for that price.

First off, let me say that I've not played any of the previous Tiger Woods games on any console.  So this would really be the first golf game I'd have ever purchased.  So essentially I'd be starting with a clean slate.

Been reading the reviews and it seems like it's gotten pretty decent reviews.  Appears that most of the criticism the game has gotten is because it hasn't changed much from previous versions.

I could care less how much it's changed since I've never played anything previous.  Just looking for a game to pop in and get some entertainment from when I can't sneak away to play.

I've seen this game brand new at a local game store for $10 and thinking about picking it up.  Just wanted to get a couple opinions to see if it's worth it or not.

Thanks.

Never got into the Zelda games so I'll probably avoid them.

Thinking hard about Melee.  One holdback is that I really don't think I'll be able to get much use out of multi-player.  Daughter and I might play a little but can't imagine that will be real interesting to her.  And not sure I'll spend alot of time with the single player mode.

Leaning toward Resident Evil 1 (Remake).  Not expecting it to be as good as RE 4, but even if it's half as good, it'll still be a good game.  Always have had a soft spot for horror adventure games.

Really just trying to hold myself over until Madden 2008 comes....

I've been on the fence about it.  See alot of people saying it's scarier than 4, which appeals to me.

But I get the feeling the movements and controls will probably not be as good.  I've watched some video reviews of it though and it still looks pretty good visually.

I figure I can probably get the game on Ebay for something like $8-$10.  So probably not a lot of financial risk there and it would have to be pretty bad to not at least be worth that.

I just bought my first Gamecube a couple weeks ago and I really love it.

I picked up a near mint Cube, extra controller, memory card and a couple games for $50.  And have since bought RE 4, Rogue Squadron II for $9 each.  I think I've got an awesome amount of entertainment for my $70.  Price is definately right.

Also have to say that I've been out of the gaming loop for awhile.  Never really stepped up to anything past the old SNES.  Just got busy with work and family and didn't have the time.

But reached a point where I was missing playing some console games and my daughter (6 yrs old) is getting old enough to play along with me.  Considered the XBox 360 and PS3 but didn't really want to drop that much money on something that I only get a real chance to play once in awhile.  Considered also an original Xbox or PS2 but liked some of the game choices better for the Gamecube (mainly Mario games for my daughter).  And I just wanted a gaming system....didn't need something to get on-line with or something to play DVD's.

And it's been a really great purchase and has got me back into video games again after having basically been away for a good 6-7 years.  I think it's been worth it solely for Resident Evil 4.  And my daughter has loved Mario Sunshine.  And graphically, everything looks awesome, especially considering we were recently playing my old 8 bit NES!

So I think this system can still make alot of sense if you're needs are similar.  I also considered buying a Wii because it would also play Cube games, but didn't even want to spend that much.

Overall, I'm really happy with it though and it fit perfectly for what I was looking for.  I'll probably still end up moving to a next-gen system at some point, but that could be 2-3 years down the road when the prices drop to at least 1/2 what they are.
