As some of you may know I collect games, and have a vast collection across my room and loft. So here's a little update of what I've bought, the price I paid and how much they're worth. I dont generally go for only the big names like Final Fantasies, but also the little games and the magazine or sources at the time of release.

Hogs of War - PS1 - I had the 'Best of' version with a silver disc, but now I have the 'original' version. A mere £1.50 means I can sell my other version on eBay, for between £3-7.

Clock Tower 3 on PS2 - I played it ages ago on my mates PS2, and it looked kinda boring at first but I played it and loved it. Unfortuantely he sold it at a Gamestation, but I picked it up for 50p! Bargain of the day I think.

The Suffering on PS2 - I've heard so much about this game, I even have the Powerstation magazine walkthrough for it. I couldnt resist picking it up for 50p along with Clock Tower 3. Amazingly good value eh?

Silent Hill 2 - PS2 - after selling the Silent Hill Collection I picked up for £5 and sold on for £40, I saw this and bought it for £1. Its the special edition with the dvd. Its a keeper atm, but the case is in bad condition and there isnt the manual. But still the games in great condition. Guess the previous owner got too scared eh?

Ace Combat Distant Thunder on PS2 - This little game is a true gem. I completed it 3 times when I borrowed it off a mate, and yet again he sold it. So I picked this one up for £2. A bit more than I normally pay, but its worth £8 on eBay. Its a keeper tho.

Street Fighter EX plus a - PS1 - This was uncertain for me. A 3D version of Street Fighter seemed a little risky for me, but at 50p I couldnt resist.

30 random PS1 games - Ok I picked up a wallet of PS1 games and the women told me £2.50 for the lot. How could I refuse? Games include Ace Combat 3, Harry Potter, Thunderhawk etc. Works out about 8p a game. Theyr only discs, so theyr keepers.

I picked up a few demo discs for PS1. I know its weird, but on each demo disc there are little games by readers. It was called Yazoo I think, until the milkshake company sued them lol. But anyway I collect them as they offer me something different, and the chance to relive the old days!

Picked up a Megadrive Review guide! Its unusual, and it offers an insight to games as well as offering a guide to the games available on Megadrive. Different and definitely a worthy handbook! It was free with a MD game I got for 50p. Not bad.

So I've been cataloguing my lists on Game Collector software, and a total of about 700 games. Kinda scary, but luckily I have an understanding gf. Anyway I'm off to play Resistance.

Whats your favourite Resident Evil game?

Just a bit of fun! I was wondering what your favourite Resident Evil game was. I know there are a variety to choose from, so I'll go first.

My favourite Resident Evil is Resident Evil 3. It has more freedom, a nemesis fight every 10 minutes, you get a reward for killing nemesis, you are rewarded with weapons in Mercenaries, the storyline is awesome and its the end of Raccoon City :'(.

Whats your favourite Resident Evil?

Blockbusters rip off

When trying to cash-in my brand new sealed blue-ray dvds Hitch and Stealth at Blockbusters they offered me £10 credit or £5 cash. Unbelievable as theyre selling brand new ones for £17.99 each. Looks like I'm gunna eBay it.

Umbrella Chronicles...will it fit with the story?

Just had a thought as I was watching the latest trailer. Will UC be true to RE? I mean the whole partner thing isnt really sticking to the storyline. Certain scenarios in UC such as Chris with Jill (in RE1 either one is locked away), Rebecca with Billy (they fight the scorpion together), and RE3 (Carlos being with Jill all the time).

It just seems to kind of mess things up. I know theyr giving us a multiplayer RE game...but it has a slight impact on the game. Apart from that it looks ruddy good fun!

Sim-style games

Ok well I've read ONM this month and they gave MySims on the Wii a 94% which means I should get it. It comes out in september, but I was wondering over whether I would actually enjoy the game?

Heres the problem. I have Animal Crossing on DS...and I bought it in April. I loved the game and used to spen about 3-4 hours on it a day. Then it started becoming a chore, and eventually I let my town be over-run. I spent £30 on the game, and I'm worried the same thing will happen with MySims. SHould I buy this game? I want to get it, but I dont wana waste £40.

Amazing PS3 Deal! Cheapest around!

Ok well I've debated whether I was going to get a PS3....and I am! I began searching today for the cheapest deal. Here are the deals that I found:

Virgin & HMV: PS3 + 3 games + extra controller = £425

Woolworths: PS3 + 2 blue ray dvds + 2 games + extra controller = £375

As you can guess I've gone for Woolworths lol. Its by far the best deal...and it runs out monday!

I've chosen the following games and dvds, Resistance, Motorstorm, Hitch and Stealth.

Any thoughts on this deal/ the games? I'm gunna collect the games in-store when they arrive.

PS3 online gaming?

Hey guys.

I'm kinda stuck with the PS3. I've been too far up the Wii's arse these past 8 months (even bought it on launch day lol) and have completely let loose any details on the PS3 and online gaming.

Would you say its closer to xbox 360 or Wii? Also would you say its better than 360 for gaming? What kinda games will be coming out? I really want a PS3 now and was wondering what online games are coming out.

Random thought on a PS3

Haven't been on here in a while. I've been sorting out my new pc I got as well as playing games on it :P.

Anyway I'm gunna be getting my student loan inSeptember for my university. There are a number of things I need to buy such as a new ipod (my old one broke lol), books and equipment....but was also contemplating buying a PS3. I got a Wii, my bro has a 360 and I got a brand new PC. I'm getting like £400 a month from my job plus the loan but is it worth buying a PS3 at this time and moment? I dont mind getting one, and seeing as we only have the 60gb version here in UK it makes life that bit easier.

Here are what I consider the positives and negative for getting a PS3:

+

Great graphics

Wireless controllers

Connectivity with PSP

A new digital tv recording software (coming 2008 to Europe)

Resident Evil 5 will be coming out :P

60gb HD

Free online gaming (if I'm correct lol)

Wireless internet ( in my room yay)

-

Price

Lack of games

New models might be coming out (? - heard about an 80gb model in Korea...so dunno)

When I do buy it the next day it will be half price.....always happens lol

Hmmm there might not be many negatives but they are more important. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Resident Evil 5 update

Well heres an update of RE5:

The emblem on the main characters arm isnot Stars, its BSAA. Anyho the head of RE5 development said its definitely Chris, and there is also a girl who everyone is familiar with (ooooh wonder who it could be lol)...and there will be new features in the game such as being in the light and entering a dark room makes your eyes wierd...like real life. Also theres a NEW trailer coming out soon with more info on characters.

IGN provide such useful information, and another hint of when the game will be released is that the developer wants the timeframe of the game to co-exist with the release of the game, and he also said RE5 would take place exactly 10 years after RE1....which puts 2008 into the big light. :)

Resident Evil 4 - the collection!

Well I've finally got every RE4 so far lol!

I have the following:

Resident Evil 4 - GC

Resident Evil 4 Limited Edition - PS2

Resident Evil 4 - PC

Resident Evil 4 - Wii

Ok so I dont have the original PS2 version, but I have every RE4 on every format! Lol. So therefore I think I can judge which is the best out of all of them.

Ok the PS2 version was the first one I played. It was great, and allowed me to try out Seperate Ways etc. even though the graphics werent that great. Personally this was THE resident evil 4 for me.

Next was the GC version. The graphics blew me away. They were great, and the controls felt more natural. This RE4 is probably the first time I saw that the PS2 had shoddy graphics, and the GC ruled.

The Wii version of RE4 is personally my favourite. The controls are amazing, I get 90%+ accuracy and I get everything in the PS2 version with better than GC graphics. The only downside is that it takes a while to adjust to the controls, and the use of the - and + buttons is wierd.

The PC version is good because its brighter. The display of a PC monitor is better than a TV. Its clearer, and the laser sight is brighter to see. The problem is controls, there are so many buttons lol. Also the graphics arent the best, and I cant adjust them.

Also I have the chainsaw controller on PS2, which is soo cool with the noises buts its really impractical lol.

So my review (kind of) of every RE4 lol.
