As some of you may know I collect games, and have a vast collection across my room and loft. So here's a little update of what I've bought, the price I paid and how much they're worth. I dont generally go for only the big names like Final Fantasies, but also the little games and the magazine or sources at the time of release.
Hogs of War - PS1 - I had the 'Best of' version with a silver disc, but now I have the 'original' version. A mere £1.50 means I can sell my other version on eBay, for between £3-7.
Clock Tower 3 on PS2 - I played it ages ago on my mates PS2, and it looked kinda boring at first but I played it and loved it. Unfortuantely he sold it at a Gamestation, but I picked it up for 50p! Bargain of the day I think.
The Suffering on PS2 - I've heard so much about this game, I even have the Powerstation magazine walkthrough for it. I couldnt resist picking it up for 50p along with Clock Tower 3. Amazingly good value eh?
Silent Hill 2 - PS2 - after selling the Silent Hill Collection I picked up for £5 and sold on for £40, I saw this and bought it for £1. Its the special edition with the dvd. Its a keeper atm, but the case is in bad condition and there isnt the manual. But still the games in great condition. Guess the previous owner got too scared eh?
Ace Combat Distant Thunder on PS2 - This little game is a true gem. I completed it 3 times when I borrowed it off a mate, and yet again he sold it. So I picked this one up for £2. A bit more than I normally pay, but its worth £8 on eBay. Its a keeper tho.
Street Fighter EX plus a - PS1 - This was uncertain for me. A 3D version of Street Fighter seemed a little risky for me, but at 50p I couldnt resist.
30 random PS1 games - Ok I picked up a wallet of PS1 games and the women told me £2.50 for the lot. How could I refuse? Games include Ace Combat 3, Harry Potter, Thunderhawk etc. Works out about 8p a game. Theyr only discs, so theyr keepers.
I picked up a few demo discs for PS1. I know its weird, but on each demo disc there are little games by readers. It was called Yazoo I think, until the milkshake company sued them lol. But anyway I collect them as they offer me something different, and the chance to relive the old days!
Picked up a Megadrive Review guide! Its unusual, and it offers an insight to games as well as offering a guide to the games available on Megadrive. Different and definitely a worthy handbook! It was free with a MD game I got for 50p. Not bad.
So I've been cataloguing my lists on Game Collector software, and a total of about 700 games. Kinda scary, but luckily I have an understanding gf. Anyway I'm off to play Resistance.
