@Thanatos2k: Adam Koralik mentioned some of the changes on his channel, off the top of my head I know the controls are classic and updated, enhanced resolution on the gfx. He has more detail on his YT channel, I'd suggest checking over there for details considering he was at the Fes launch announcement in Japan.
But yeah the soda and other licenses probably had to be renegotiated or changed for this re-release. So it's not going to be 100% as it was released back originally.
He left Sony to do Mad Max w/Avalanche, left during dev, of course the game didn't do well, but was decent.
He then goes to Crystal Dynamics to the TR project, pisses off his peers and leaves.
Comes back to Sony and works on God of War again....
The grass isn't always greener indeed.
Sounds like Dave Jaffe needs to take his lead and come back to where he does his best work and make something new and not MP based, they're both talented, they just need to be in the right environment, and neither of them can seem to do that w/o working for Sony. (I'm not skipping Jaffe's multiple missteps during the PS3 days before he started his now defunct studio)
HD Rumble...hmmm sounds familiar, oh you mean that thing, no dev uses that was in that tech demo launch game Nintendo sold at full price? No loss there.
Vibration - don't use it, it hurts my hands these days. Haven't seen immersive rumble since the PS1 era.
The only thing legitimately missing is gyro controls, but again many games don't utilize them, so what are the drawbacks of this again Mr. Watts?
I just bought the pro and never looked back the joy cons always stay docked now.
"Reviews seem generally positive." Looks like it's hovering around 6-7....ninja needs new glasses. (and a new catchphrase)
Yeah the co-op only is going to kill sales, the big mouth dev hurt sales, I'm not buying it because of those two things. I get to play co-op so infrequently I'd rather do it on a game that doesn't require it. I'd be more than happy to put eat crow if this game had turned out awesome, but it's getting so-so only better than average reviews.
I don't see it being a game long remembered other than by the folks who bought into it from the beginning and still hold a candle for it now.
