"Of course, we don't have [Seiken Densetsu] 3 over here, so it might be a little more difficult than we'd want that to be."
And it'll never be because of that reason there. No translation. Is there source code (to go back to for the SD collection, if not remaking 3)? They won't use the fan translation, either. A remake is possible (and probably the only way we get SD3 localized ever officially).
"Why is this version skipping Switch?" "I just want to play everything on Switch. It's so handy."
What...so journalists are also jumping on the Switch port-begging bandwagon too....?
Judging societal values from decades ago against today is misguided. Things were different people were different. That doesn't make the actions right, however if laws were not broken that is something.
Everyone should be treated with respect, but I argue that everyone making these judgements against others accused of these things are just as guilty of being rude, mistreating someone in their life at some point. NO ONE is not guilty of this.
Time to start forgiving and moving on to healing. Opening old wounds helps no one.
The only one's outraged are the one's who it didn't happen too...
It's no surprise, what has he made of note since God of War (2005) & Twisted Metal Head-On: Extra Twisted Edition (2008)?
Calling all Cars was tepid and got boring fast.
The Twisted Metal reboot got derailed by multiplayer focus that long time players never asked for.
Drawn to Death interested practically no one.
Cory Barlog took over GoW II, so he literally has done 4 games in over 10 years.
He focused too much on mutiplayer, yet for some reason he doesn't know how to make it fun, doesn't know his audience (which wants single player games), and when you add both of those things up, this is the result.
I used to watch his career with interest over the years, but for the last ten of those, not so much.
I wish him (and his staff well) but it's time to go back to Santa Monica and work on a team again, or find a new career at this point.
@solidsolo: Been playing FF since FF1, so I got a little bit on ya...and yes I enjoyed it, mostly.
Been over a year since I finished it, but I don't **** that hard on it even now. It wasn't perfect, but was enjoyable. The game world was not small, if you walked a lot of it it took plenty of time to do quests, collecting, etc. even using the Regalia it took time to get around (unless you fast traveled all of the time (which I eventually started to do because the game world WAS that large).
I didn't like all of the cuts made to later parts in the game, but there was plenty there for me to put over 100 hours into it, I still plan on playing the DLC, but have had no interest in doing it yet (same as my interest level in playing BotW again anytime soon after putting in over 160 hours into that game) Both games were the longest I've played anything last year but did burn me out of them.
Different strokes for everyone, I didn't let the legend of Versus XIII spoil my time w/XV and that's probably why I enjoyed it more than most people who seem to think it was a bad game. I got past the boy band thing, which apparently you don't seem to be able to, for whatever reason, give it another chance and try to play more than 10 hours next time, you're barely even scratching the surface that far in. If you didn't start hunts or got into the 2nd area then you most definitely didn't play it enough, rushed through and didn't explore things to appreciate what you could find or couldn't get past those hang ups you listed to give it a fair shake...no skin off my ***, you're just short changing yourself by doing that.
@yourefakenews: "Theres no reason why none of that couldnt have been in the game, especially if the game took 10 years to create."
Except Nomura had nothing but bits and pieces done in that 10 years. so that's why Tabata basically scrapped most of it and started from scratch, otherwise we'd still be waiting for it to come out.
I feel sorry for the Kingdom Hearts fans waiting for KH3, seems like they'll never see the conclusion of that series after two main games and 18,000 spin offs.
@superklyph: I have a Retron 5 & Retrofreak and have never experienced input lag on either when someone always says they got lag on either one of those systems. I use wired controllers. Not saying there isn't some input lag for some people, but yeah it's gotta be something causing the issue, since some people don't have those same issues with their tv's.
Seven ports announced. Seven. Two more Wii U exclusives making the jump.
It's so telling that Nintendo is so desperate for software that they'll strip any reason for people who supported the Wii U to care enough to re-buy or keep their old systems.
Glad Swit-eeple are happy with all this news, I just want new games on the Switch, not games I already own on the Wii U.
While BotW was a fresh experience for Zelda there was plenty of nothing in the game world as well. Same for Skyrim or any of the Elder Scrolls games. I'd prefer a smaller, denser play area that wasn't as predicated on me collecting this or that to get 120 shrines opened that felt very tedious after the first 50 and were a outright slog the last 50.
It's still one of my favorite games of last year, but even with the DLC I have no interest in going back to it's world and that open world is one of the main reasons why not. Getting dragon pieces (one at a time) wore on me very badly when I was trying to get what I needed for the MM special armor.
But yeah, more traditional dungeons would be welcomed. They'd have to reinvent Zelda yet again to keep things fresh, otherwise we're looking at another four-five games like OoT thru TP of very similar 3D Zelda titles but branching off from what BotW started. I honestly don't know if that's a good thing or not. (and it seems that's the general consensus among people who played it last year, great game, but we'd like something different or more traditional now please).
