@shadowwarrior4: All fan speculation, like everything else, I've even heard rumbles of fans gossiping about a Gamecube mini (wtf...) too much rumor mongering being mistaken for news these days.
@CeltaVigo: The 1st game was Licensed and the last two are owned by MS, very little chance of those being included in this (not announced, probably not going to happen) N64 mini.
Guillemot stated. "But that's our perception, we don't have any confidential information on that front."
So in other words TOTAL BS pulled out of his ***.
I like some of Ubisofts games, but I HATE when they start guessing when new hardware generations are coming.
As long as the hardware is selling and the vocal minority isn't whining too loudly I don't see the next gen consoles coming any time soon especially considering the R&D money Sony and MS just put out for their higher tier systems that came out recently.
That and I don't see a 6 year hardware cycle, we went almost 10 years last gen (which some said was too long) but hardware and software sales will be the driving force behind how long both systems stay on shelves before their replacements are readied to go.
@Pedro: Then play on your PC or whatever you use Pedro, but frankly why buy a system if it doesn't have the games.
I've been saying this for over 20 years.
"The GAMES make the SYSTEM!"
This holds true now as much as any time in the past. XBO is going to be looked back as a technical capable machine without any software support which is what will be what killed it in the end. Same argument everyone makes about Nintendo (pre-Switch & excluding Wii kind of) no good 3rd party support.
Well that's just the point now isn't it. Cancelling games like Scalebound or Fable, you know the one's people were excited about. If they would have given Platinum more time and quit meddling with the game it would have came out just fine.
Now here they are late 2017 and bemoaning all of the whiny consumers wanting "exclusive" games for their Xbox One systems. It's like we deserve exclusive titles or something....imagine the audacity. (<--100% sarcasm if you missed it)
This problem ain't going away, people didn't buy a Xbox One to play the Xbox 360 or OG Xbox catalogs (while it is a nice fringe benefit) it doesn't solve the problem that the system doesn't have enough exclusive games coming out to justify something like the XB-OX (anyone else notice the One X's shortened name is just XBOX...lol)
I bought my XBO-S last year, but I gotta say it's the one system I use the least and the one I own the least amount of games for, if it wasn't for dev mode and Cuphead, I probably wouldn't have even used it the last six months, which is really sad to say the least.
