Any graphics card from a Nvidia geforce 8600gts or ATI 3670 is better then the 360's gpu. you want to stay away from the *500 series or lower because they arent "gaming cards" like 8400, 4350 etc. Now People wanting the best cards or using multiple cards have different reasons. First off Pc gamers like to play at settings and resolutions 4 times more then the consoles can run games at. Next is multiple monitor setups, and last its fun having bragging rights too.04dcarraher

So my one 5870 card or 5970 will blow the xbox out the water

I need some basic questions answered When you look for a gaming system how many FPS should I be aiming for on each game so that it looks superior to a xbox 360. also I understand that a single 5970 is very powerful card so why would some people want dual cards wouldn't that be overkill?

It's an Alienware? I have serious doubt that this card will fit into most of the Alienware cases. I can't remember exactly how long it is, but you may want to make sure that there is roughly 11 inches of space between the inside of the rear of your case to the HDD casings.GhoX

i just did says 12.5 inches

I can't find a power supply label this is odd

Of course connecting such an expensive card to a shoddy PSU wouldn't be a very good idea

What brand and model is it OP?

I don't know when I bought this Alienware I didn't have a lot of money so I just got the upgraded power supply and now that I have the money I want to buy a graphic card to last about 4-5 years

If you open up your case and read off what the white piece stuck on says about your power then we can give you a real answer. My bet is that it's good enough.

I will be checking right now here is a video of the inside,I hope it fits

Yes. The real question should be "will the 5970 fit in my case?".

Also depends what brand the PSU is, you don't want to ruin your new card, just because its a no-name brand.
