Just read that the 65nm (Falcon) console for the 360 is now on the market (see http://forums.xbox.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=15804553) . In my judgement I've been noticing alot of fakeboy postings on these boards that seem to always start "I just bought my 360 two minutes ago and it broke" or "I'm up to my seventh 360" etc. While some posts are credible the majority seem to be an attempt to discredit the 360 - to flush these guys out they should be made to postup their gamertag and/or serial.I'm wondering if this announcement will stop them or if we are going to continue too see these fakeboy posts?????

Hmm well i think the only reason the 360 is popular is because its an american made system...America is realy the only place it sells well, and the other consols sell evenly between areas...but not the 360mgreener_34

vgchartz.com shows the xbox 360 is outselling the ps3 in all of Europe including the UK, France & Australia - perhaps you need to get your facts straight?

gamerankings shows quite a few reputable review sites scored halo 9 or above. The wii lovers that claim bias are regretting their purchase of last gen hardware at an inflated price (i know i have). The wii just plain sux - get with it!

I think the problem isn't with the games, but it's with the Wii itself, and whether that is fair or not is debateable.

The thing is, the "been there, done that" approach is more pronounced with the Wii than it is with any 360 or Ps3 game. Humans are visual beings, and most people's response when they SEE MP3 is that it looks exactly like MP, plays exactly like MP, and they can't really tell the difference except for some better lighting and a really, really good control scheme.

Whereas with Halo 3, there definitely is a visual "pop". It sounds better, looks better, and they made the necessary tweaks to improve the feel of the gameplay (just going by reviews on this, haven't played it yet obviously). In Halo 3, the developers expanded on every aspect of that game, Co-op, multiplayer, campaign, expanded on everything with absolute quality, while all MP3 did was create an innovative control scheme out of necessity and make a new story. Gamespot apparently does not think that cuts it anymore. Sequels NEED to expand on what they've done, or, make it absolutely PERFECT, to score well. That's why, for example, Bioshock got the 9.0, because it was an experience not seen yet. If they sequelize it, and DON'T make the necessary expansions on the game, then it probably won't score as high.

i agree - i purchased a wii for $249 and had expectations of an advancement in hardware beyond a innovative controller but the wii just doesn't stack up - the games are very childish and you can't seem to get anything exciting on it as devs are favouring the ps3/xbox 360 (understandably so given the lacklustre hardware). So far I'm very disappointed and I'm sure the reviewers are expressing their same frustrations the hardware just plain sucks

despite it getting an excellent score, it won't be enough to beat the wii in japan even for the week it is released - i'm beginning to think that even if MS sold the thing for $1 with 20 good games like gears etc they still wouldn't win. Japanese just don't like an american console moving in.

damnit - I got a few that I reckon were pretty gorundbreaking

Doom (follow up to wolfenstien but brought fps to the masses for the first time)
Dune (first good RTS - basically created the category)
Super Mario 64 (the FIRST 3d platformer, nintendo really are the innovators)
Grand theft Auto 3 (so real to life)
Donkey Kong Country (literally breathed life into the dieing snes)
