I have W7 on my main PC. Everything is smooth as butter and I'm very happy with it. I put W10 on my laptop last year as a trial and I have to say, I'm not sold. The only reason I could see giving in to all the spyware, forced updates, loss of personal control and calling programs "apps," is for the impending utilization of DX12.

Cortana uses a relatively large amount of resources and on my 5-year-old laptop it was a problem. This worked and helped a lot.
