I wouldn't hold my breathe over a Goldeneye remake coming anytime soon but if it did it would most definitely hit all those nostalgia buttons, that's for sure.
Goldeneye is one of those legendary titles that was at the right place at the right time.
A polished FPS on consoles.
An iconic franchise.
The early to mid 90's.
Co-op split screen.
All these things at the time truly made Goldeneye stand apart from anything else out there on consoles. While I doubt a remake could recreate even half of the impact the original did when it dropped I can almost guarantee there would be a lot of hardcore gamers lining up if anything just to sample a taste of that sweet nostalgia pie.
As a huge Sonic fan back in the day I absolutely loved what they did with the first movie.
Really hoping they can re-capture the charm of the first while diving a little bit deeper into the Sonic mythos in this sequel. Also, I'm hoping Super Sonic will make an appearance considering this sequel has knuckles in it.
When you have knuckles you know what else is going to be in it.
Truth is all these games are so amazing if the free upgrade option wasn't being offered I probably would have bought them anyway. That is how good all these titles are; especially RE2 remake and RE7.
Any of you out there that haven't yet taken the dive into these survival horror masterpieces, well... you're getting a second chance to see what all the excitement was all about.
The consensus seems to fall in line with what I believe many were expecting.
GT has been the king of racing games since the 90's but I would be lying if I said I didn't think Forza has really taken some of the dominance the franchise once had away from it.
In fact, A good argument could be made that Forza is the new GT in terms of it's popularity.
While we can all battle that out in the comments sections I still think GT will be heralded as the super hardcore driving simulator for many of the qualities that most of these reviews are touching upon.
