I find it somewhat amusing that a guy with Marcus as his avatar disagrees with an informative video explaining why Microsoft is losing the initial battle. He's just stating the facts, most softcore gamers are sheep. If it's 4:1 then the momentum will be with Sony.
I've been gaming on the PS3 since the weekend of launch, and on only a few occasions have I experienced cheaters (by cheaters I mean folks that purposefully lag online matches). It's certainly nowhere near a big enough problem for gamers to swap sides over. Needles in haystacks.
The majority of people swapping are doing so because of the policies. However now they've been reversed it will admittedly be interesting to see just how many change back again?
Interesting stuff.. and finally (for once) a constructed argument on the internet! Who'd have thought.
Microsoft are out of touch, that's the main issue. Windows phone, windows tablet, windows 8, the Xbox One. It's worrying just how many catastrophic marketing errors they've made in just the last 12 months. Yes they're desperately trying to turn it around, but they shouldn't have had to in the first place.
Industries are nothing though without competition, so whereas i'll be purchasing the PS4 I genuinely hope the Xbox does well too. We all need the threat of challenge otherwise things stagnate (look at Call of Duty).
Looking forward to seeing some gameplay from The Order. I'm expecting something which is basically a next-gen Gears, which as a Sony gamer isn't actually a bad thing. One of my favourite games from this gen was the Gears franchise, played it on my best mates 360 :)
Uncharted 4, Media Molecule's next project and the one by the makers of God of War (the sci-fi one in space!), that's a LOT of potential. Whether we actually see any of that though is another question...
@krystyla It's by the guy that made Crash Bandicoot? Maybe that helps. Have you ever played Ratchet & Clank? That would be classed a a 'kids' game and yet it's hugely popular.
To be honest I quite enjoy a break from all the shooting and killing, whether I'll get Knack or not I don't know, but it certainly looks worthy of recognition.
@steelmouth Sweet if you've got more money than sense? I'm referring to both console here by the way... Just save your hard earned cash and buy the one copy for next gen? There's enough games coming out this year for the current consoles to tide you over.
This is in no way targeted at Microsoft, as to be honest the whole 'carrying your stats' article announced yesterday is highly relevant too.
Are people seriously that desperate to buy a game on the current consoles to then just buy it again for next gen? Why not wait..? Or even better, why not buy two different games?!
We've got GTAV coming out later this year, a game far big enough to last until you buy the next gen consoles. Save yourself the extra money and just buy one copy of the game? The 'promotion' may sound cool, but it's just designed to get even more money from the sorry customers.
I swear it's a different piece of Microsoft drivel every day now... Regardless of what website you go on it's just pointless articles released by MS. I understand they needed better PR, but the constant barrage of of it all is starting to have the adverse affect :|
Guess it's comforting to know it won't over-heat this time round though. But then I'd have thought given the Red Ring situation the 'cooling' feature should have been mandatory for the Xbox One.
Meh... At least Gamescom will bring some ACTUAL news! :D
