@Suikogaiden So, how is Gamespot...a site that reports news... pushing a homosexual agenda? Explain to me how this news article explicitly pushes this idea? Fucking idiot.
@Lothos_Delion This isn't about politics so much as it is about their employees being lawfully discriminated against. While they don't have to practice this belief, I commend them for making sure all other companies do not either.
I should mention that all of those things about Xbox are quite okay if you're into that sort of thing. It was never meant as being judgmental because I know there are quite a few families or people in the casual market that will think its great, and rightfully so.
While people can argue about their feelings with the Sony conference, one thing is clear: Sony intends on making a console for people interested in playing games. What I fear is that Microsoft is going to continue down the path of being a multimedia machine that focuses on applications, family oriented experiences (see Kinect), and an infrastructure that continues to throw advertisements in your face.
At one point, I was quite the defender of the Xbox as it really did have better exclusives, but Sony has really upped their game over the last two years (especially so with Plus) and has sort of made me a convert. I don't really like to be on one side or the other (see: fanboy) but I genuinely believe that Sony is heading in the right direction with the PS4.
I really think Sony has had a pretty fantastic year (with the exception of the Vita). Playstation Plus has absolutely convinced me that Xbox Live is a waste of money. Moreover, the 10 dollars in credit I received from them last night is reminder why this is true. I think this will be a great system and I can't wait.!
@Landsharkk That all may be true but it certainly doesn't change the fact that most of what is mentioned in this article is spot on. It's rather obvious that he has many of the same issues that we, the general public have.
I'm not calling him a martyr or the first to say these sorts of things, but I do think it is good to have people somewhat involved in the industry to be critical of the crappy practices of the last few years. I can't think of a single person who is happy with Xbox Live's use of ads on a paid subscription. Obviously we've become so accustomed to paying for the service that it may not seem like a big deal on the surface, but they are definitely laughing at us as we continue to throw money at them.
