In the interview, Dylan Jobe states that the game appeals to a wide audience, ranging from fans of Ace Combat to fans of SOCOM. This is the reason why i'm so pumped.. SOCOM and Ace Combat are two of my three favorite franchises (Devil May Cry being the other).

I own every single Socom game, even the mobile recon. So if socom doesn't come to PS3, i will be enraged. SOCOM has the best gameplay i have every experienced. Almost every player has a headset which makes stadegy possible, which is a problem on games like resistance where no one has a mic. The problem was that single player wasn't good and the graphics weren't very good. the combining of single player with multiplayer was a great idea and has done a very good job at fixing the problem. Once Socom comes to the PS3 and all of its HD goodness, I truly believe the SOCOM series will finally be comparable to epic games like Halo and Gears of War.
Well, 25 maps are already confirmed, and its probable that they will add more, so i doubt it will be 20 bucks. Just because it is Multiplayer only doesn't mean its a drastically smaller game. All the effort that would have been poured into single player is now being put into multiplayer, so it is not like your losing half the game. You now get one ridiculously awesome experience instead of two good ones, which i look forward to.

they said it would have 25 maps (a lot); and its going to be sold on Blu ray, i expect a price of $40-50.
That's what I am thinking, because in one of the interviews, it was said that it would definatly be a reduced price, but on the other hand, i dont think it will be less than 40
I think the best stops besides the IGN video already posted and the article by gamespot are a detailed interview by 1up and a video interview at gametrailers.com, which shows off multiple people playing online from the same machine just by hitting the PS button. Gamespy also has a very good article.
After seeing some more info on the new changes, I am pretty sure that this game will be a killer app for the PS3.
Also, it has been confirmed that warhawk will ship on Blue-ray disc. It still might be a downloas as well, but i seriously doubt it because of the amount of memory needed for the maps, weapons, and all the customization.
