Attorney General Sessions is weighing in on bringing back harsh sentences to low-level drug offenders.

I fail to see how this would improve things, but if this administration taught me anything so far, is that going backwards is the key to moving forwards.

@mmmwksil: I mean I had friends at some point but they've all moved on and have basically forgotten about me. Every time I text them, I either get no response, or I do get a response that says, "Who is this?"

So yeah, my life just fucking sucks.

This thread is the equivalent of a Metacritic user review.

@mjorh: That's me in every Metal Gear game.

I remember when I was playing Metal Gear Solid 3, and every time I was in a building that had scientists in it, they always freaked out and called for help whenever they inadvertently spotted me. It got to the point where I just said "Screw it," and I started going around and stabbing all the scientists.

What's even better is that every time a security team was dispatched to find me, they would walk over dozens of bodies, search the whole area, and when they couldn't find me, they would say: "Well, nothing," and everything would go back to normal with the piles of bodies still lying around.

Conservative logic: healthcare isn't a right, but owning a gun is.

You ever have one of those moments where you realize just how easily you're forgotten by people you think are your friends but turns out they aren't? Those moments suck.

Story of my life.

No friends and no future.

Just living the American dream.

The key thing I've noticed that seems to separate old-school and modern RPGs is how they're designed and how the mechanics are implemented.

That is, modern RPGs are designed to be enjoyed by everyone, they're not really targeted towards a specific audience anymore. Plus, because the mechanics are simplified as well, that makes it easier for anyone to play.

But is that really a bad thing?

That's just my take on the whole thing, I didn't grow up as an avid RPG fan, so maybe I'm missing something here.

Is Fire Emblem basically Nintendo's version of Final Fantasy? All the information I know of the franchise comes from Super Smash Bros.

Sounds like an apt comparison. Except FE was never really all that popular, and only became so recently because they perverted the series with waifu garbage. Now Nintendo pushes it as hard as they can, until the populace wakes up, stops caring and they move on to the next thing.

Hey, everyone knows that waifus are what make role-playing games unique and immersive.

I kid, I kid.

It's a good thing I chose not to waste money on it. Fire Emblem really is dead.
