@JediKnight366 @mathg04 But the point is, they shouldn't HAVE to shoehorn in a female lead and revolve a story around her just to satisfy the public, the public who makes up problems just to have something to complain about. Just because their game doesn't have a female lead, or any sort of interaction via a controllable female character, doesn't make them sexist.

This is the problem, people want to throw on labels based on what ISN'T in the game, which is the stupidest bullshit I have EVER heard.

@Warlord_Irochi The fact that you generalize all of us as being 'afraid of girls' is exactly the problem. We can't speak out against things like this without being painted as sexist freaks who are afraid of cooties, when we're simply pointing out that maybe there isn't a problem at all. It's more political jargon, spouted by people who don't actually care about these issues, or even play these games.

I'm still looking forward to this, but at the same time what is taking so long? This was announced years ago, and it's not like they're building the game from the ground up, it's a simple HD port.

I'm glad it's finally coming and everything, but my interest has declined considerably.

They want proper female representation, but if there was a female lead in an open-world crime/murder simulator, they would be appalled that you are given the control of a female and allowed to mow down innocent civilians with an M16. You can't please people like this, feminists or otherwise.

@strothers101 @Karchy The entire reason this article exists is because of the backlash from Rockstar coming out and explaining why their game DOESN'T have a female lead, as though an explanation was necessary. Shortly after, feminists came out of the woodwork to paint Rockstar as sexist pigs who are only interested in pushing a male-oriented agenda.
