@canelacandy @yearssomuch That's actually one of the aspects I enjoy, it provides them with massive amounts of potential for the characters you can play as. I wouldn't say it at all detracts from the creativity, as they still have to design the characters, create voiceovers, etc.

Besides, why wouldn't you want to play a MOBA with Greek and Roman Gods? :P

@Xpyder I'll admit to not playing very much DOTA 2, but I got to level 30 on League quickly and continued to play for a long while after that, mostly because my friends hounded me to play with them. It just got boring and repetitive after a while, especially with how most of the champs have no complexity to them whatsoever.

Besides, it's a solidified fact that Riot! releases their new champs as super-OP monsters for the first few weeks, then they get nerfed when the next super-OP champ gets released. They're encouraging players to buy the new, awesome character so they can rape the battlefield, week after week. That's just greedy, and I refuse to support a company who practices such methods.

@Arctic_Grillz If you don't like Valve, you don't like video games. Get out of here.

As an outside observer of both LoL and DOTA2, an observer that actively plays neither but has played both games more than a fair amount, let me make something clear.

League of Legends is the game you play if you suck at MOBA's. It's the game you play if you enjoy Riot's continually incessant greed.
DOTA 2 is the game you play if you want an highly complex MOBA. It's the game you play if you don't mind pouring hours into. However, it's also the game that ELO try-hards play so that they can be 'cooler than the rest'.

All in all, if I had to pick between the two, I would pick DOTA 2. I played League for a while and realized how noob-friendly it is, and it ruined the entire experience for me. However, as I said in a previous post, I no longer play either of these games and I now play Hi-Rez's "Smite" instead, a Third-Person MOBA that's still in open beta. I've never had so much fun.

@Xpyder @yearssomuch Well I definitely suggest you give it a second chance. The UI looks completely different, along with tons of game modes to enjoy. As for the 'targeting', that's why I enjoy it. You have to aim most, if not all, of your skills. It's a TPS MOBA, so this is expected. :P
