There you go. Thats a much better buy than the 8600 GTS.

Just wondering, what was the wattage of the PSU you were trying thr run the 8800 GT with?

Spartan8907

I tried the 8800GT on a 450w, 600w and 650w PSUs. I get a "no signal" error. The 600w and 650w both have 28A on the 12V rail.

The HD3850 needs PCIe 2.0 = I only have PCI Express 1.0 x 16 and not PCIe 2.0. Will it run on PCIe 1.0?

I want demanding games, like The Witcher, to run smoothly on my system. :(

[QUOTE="zenzen"]I've had to return a 8800GT 512mb because it won't work properly on 3 seperate PSUs = a "no signal" error. :(

So i'm gonna try a cheaper / less powerful GPU.

What's up with the 8600GTS 256mb? Longevity? Will it play The Witcher smoothly?daytona_178

How much is it?

But in 99% of cases the HD3850 is MUCH better value for money!

This is it.

[QUOTE="zenzen"]My 8800GT won't run on my system.

I have a 650w PSU with 28A on the 12v rail. It uses auxilary power, which I connected.

I get a "no signal" error.

What brand of PSU do you recommend?dayaccus007

Seasonic brand(Corsair, Antec EarthWatts, Pc Power & Cooling)

Do you rate Tagan?
