How many watts does a 8800GT 512mb need?

I presume 600w will be OK?

It depends what video card do you have, if your video card is able to play games at 1600x1050 than go for 20-22"dayaccus007

I have a new 8800 GT 512mb GPU.

Widescreen is essential?

you should just be able to buy the power cable and plug it into the wall?crippo_gamer

No, it needs an adapter = 240v to 12v converter.

Most power supplies are like that, and have always been like that since ATX specifications were drawn up. Monitors usually come with power converters on their own, and do not interact with your computer except for on the video cable.RayvinAzn

Are the converters standard (voltage / amps/ watts)?

I live in the UK, where can I buy one?

My new 650w PSU only has a power in socket = no power out to connect to my monitor.

Are most PSUs like this, nowadays?

What do I do?
