i dont look at the track record i look at the game, some hockey teams never won a cup for many many years but i look at the players they have, i also look at the new managment and speculate from there. Developers don't get signed and traded like professional athletes. These guys are mostly the same guys who made the original Killzone and that crappy Vietnam game, although I'm sure the studio has grown a bit since. The real difference this time around is the massive budget they have to work with.
I'm not saying Guerilla can't become a great developer. They can. I just think all this hype is jumping the gun a bit.

MS dosnt own Silicon Knights, Nintendo still owns shares of the company, also where did u get 80 million? lol considering the game was being made for the unreal engine up until 2007... 1 year of dev time after changing game engines lol...Get my facts straight the ip is owned by microsoft.
and? lol MS dosnt own silicon knights, the 80 million dollar budget was form the start of development for the PS1Sony owns Guerilla Games, they made their own engine for Killzone 2, and has plenty of time to work on it about 4-5 years
