The official subtitle is "The Really Naughty Limited Edition", but the shots on the box of anime girls eating cylindrical food or drippy vanilla ice cream cones or lounging seductively under tousled bedsheets was a little much. It comes with a 3-D (or should I say 3-DD) mouse pad and a pillow case featuring one of the girls. I wasn't so much embarrassed as amazed that a mainstream product with so much overt sexual imagery on the box got released, and I already had it on pre-order. The crazy thing is that the game is rated T, so all the sexy stuff may end at the packaging. I haven't opened it yet.STALKER: Call of Pripyat Special Edition (new, compete, PC) - £12.49, play.com seller
Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition w/ 3D sleeve, 6 art cards & 2 packs of 2 B:AA 3D glasses (all new, sealed, PS3) - £35.84 (already have the collectors ed but bought again for the 3D because I'm a complete tool).

I waited a day to get the game, it was too late to go yesterday. Greatest mouse pad ever. I decided not to get Nier today, canceled my preorder. I'm pretty sure most of the sexyness ends at the box, that was just their way to advertise. Even one of the first trailers was doing something like talking about the gameplay then all of a sudden porn music starts and the announcer says, "But you don't want to see any of that, this is what you want." So far I've only seen two review scores a 7 and a 78 for the PS3 version (which is the same just DLC only).
Got rid of my import of God of War Collection and replaced it with
God of War Trilogy boxset (new, sealed, PS3) - £54.99, play.com
Pre-ordered it before but then cancelled and eventually decided to get again, lol.
Also I'm regretting the Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition, the 3D is seriously crappy.
A few more cheap (ish) pickups from eBay to pad out my NES collection...
Darkwing Duck (NES) - used, complete in fair condition (box is a bit worn, cart and book near mint), £6.55
Golf (NES) - used, complete and near mint, £1.20
Stealth ATF (NES) - used, complete and near mint, 99p
And one more for the RE quest...
Resident Evil 2 (N64) - used, complete in good condition, £12.55
That's more than I'd have liked to pay for a double dip, but it turns out that the N64 version is kinda hard to track down, especially complete. RE2 is my favourite RE game, so I don't mind too much after all...
Picked up a bunch o' stuff this week, all used, all complete:
R4: Ridger Racer Type 4 (PS)
Way of the Samurai 2 (PS2)
Vagrant Story (PS)
Scarface (Xbox)
Tsugunai: Atonement (PS2)

Romancing SaGa (PS2, Disc Only, Good) $5.5
Fallout Trilogy (PC, Brand New) $8
Two Worlds (360, Used, Complete, VG) $6.5
And after paying for these 3 games, it crossed my mind to ask...and they had one sealed box left:
Record of Agarest War: The Really Naughty LE (360, Brand New) Retail [I haven't decided if I'm going to open mine or not...but the game does sound pretty decent actually, so...idk]

Yes, I was really excited about that stuff, some of it was the first time I'd ever actually seen a copy in the wild. You just don't find those lying around in stores very often.
More stuff:
Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow (PSP) Used/Complete
Way of the Samurai 3 (PS3) New
Grand Theft Auto Trilogy (PS2) New
Fallout Trilogy (PC) New
and...
Record of Agarest War (X360) New
I just couldn't pass it up.
But I feel a little bit dirty now.

It is full of information regarding gaming history, including consoles and personal computers. The arcade game pics are sweet and the book itself is of very high quality. Of course there are pages and pages full of high scores and accomplishments. I'll take some pics tomorrow and post em here.
Man do I ever love garage sales! Found 8 NES cartridges at $1 a piece. LOL
1. Batman F
2. Rad Racer G
3. Tetris NM
4. Yoshi NM
5. Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt NM
6. Double Dragon 2 NM
7. Road Blasters VG
8. California Games VG
So here is some pics of my recent finds...
Yellow Legend of Zelda Cartridge-
Guinness World Records Gaming Edition 2008 Book-
Plus a picture of the back of the book-
And an example of what a couple pages look like inside-
I hope to get some photos up of my collection but it might take some time to gather it all up and make it somewhat respectable in appearance. Cheers.
Hit one of the local carboots this morning, took a chance with the weather and I'm glad I did as I picked up a few decent games and an antique.
The games I got are:
Heart of Darkness (PS1) (Infogrames re-release) - used, complete and near mint, 50p
The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age (PS2) - used, complete in good condition, 50p
Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks (PS2) - used, complete in very good condition, £1
Nightflite II (ZX) - used, complete in very good condition, 20p
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (PC) (Xplosive release) - used, complete and near mint, 50p
Sonic the Hedgehog (MD) - used, complete and near mint, 75p
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (MD) - used, complete and near mint, 75p
I really must stop buying games for consoles I don't own... but those Sonic games were in such good condition I couldn't pass them up. Usually it's the common games like these that are the hardest to find in good nick. Besides, I'll need some solid games for when I finally get around to getting a Mega Drive...
Anyway, back to the purchases. The antique I mentioned is this lovely piece of history:
It's a Binatone TV Game, a multi-game Pong variant from around 1978. The box has seen better days but the game itself is in near perfect condition and has all the leads, paddles and even the instruction leaflet. Only cost me a fiver and the only thing it needed was a new fuse in the plug.

I love that Binatone! How freaking sweet is that!? And only for a fiver!! :o
I'm thinking I need to make a trip across the Atlantic and hit up some of these 'carboots'! Between you and the TV shows Bargain Hunt, Antiques Roadshow, and Cash in the Attic on BBC America have really make it look like you can get some incredible deals! We used to have something similar here in Southwest Missouri years ago called a "Swap Meet" that was held once a month through the warm months...but they quit holding that several years ago. :(
Congrats on your great finds and deals!...yet again :P

Hehe. Don't get too enthusiastic though, many times I come away empty handed. Proper carboots aren't really anything like what you see on those shows which tend to be more snooty antique fairs and stuff. Carboots can either be prime hunting ground or a total waste of time. There's usually a good cross-section of sellers at the larger events though, which means there's usually something worthwhile. We don't have garage/yard sales much here; rather than filling their front gardens with their stuff people prefer to load up the car with their unwanted crap, drive to a field and set up shop along with a couple of hundred others. It's the same idea as a swap meet or a flea market and it's a great British tradition, but sadly it's nowhere near as good as it used to be. These days people just sell everything on eBay :(
