Amazon is selling Prototype for $40 right now. Not sure how long the deal will least. $30 for PC.
[QUOTE="fkbwii"]Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is really good. A lot of people ignored it because it wasn't a 'full game', but it has more to it than most full priced games.What's a good sim racing game on the PS3 or PC from 2007 'till now?

Ya, I was thinking about getting GT5 but I didnt because of the reason you just said. I'll just rent it and see if I like it. Thanks.
Chrono Trigger DS or Elder Scrolls: Oblivion ? Gah, I can't choose! On the one hand, Chrono Trigger probably has a better storyline, but I fear it will be filled with JRPG cliches. On the other hand, Oblivion is probably more immersive, but I fear that it will suffer from repetitive gameplay and surroundings. I will probably play both eventually, but which is better in your opinion and why?
I've spent hundreds of hours with Oblivion and loved every minute of it. You can just get lost in that world exploring caves and doing sidequests. I haven't played much of Chrono Trigger, and I'm sure I'm committing heresy by saying this, but I think Oblivion is the better game from the time I've spend with them.Chrono Trigger DS or Elder Scrolls: Oblivion ? RPG cliches aside, Chrono Trigger hands down. I'm always pulled through a game better with stronger story. rragnaar is right about getting lost in the world, but it wasn't so much exciting exploration to me rather then mindless roaming through boring dead undistinguishable landscapes. So, I gues truthfully you it depends on weather you like wRPGs with light on the story open worldness, or if you like jRPGs with engaging stories and a more linear experience. I prefer linear myself over having to use too much of my own immagination, haha. Oblivion can be fun at times, but its gets boring so quickly.My wife and I started gaming 7 or 8 years ago playing together in cooperative play with games such as Gauntlet and Dark Alliance. There seems to be a dearth of such games in todays gaming world, and we have not enjoyed split screen nor have we tried on line play since it requires 2 game copies. I diligently peruse new games but never seem to find any that we can play together except for on the Wii. Is anyone aware of any good games of RPG or adventure type with cooperative play for the PS3 or X-box 360?
I know that Fable 2 has co-op that you can play on the same system. It is a pretty great game. I too wish there were more games that fit this bill. Like he said above, you can try Fable 2, the second player is more of a temporary guest, but you can play together at least. The Lego games can be fun but probally aren't really deep enough for your tastes, like Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, and Lego Batman. Some jRPG's allow a second player to control another character during the battles, like Tales of Vesperia and Eternal Sonata. This works pretty well for us usually, but the other player only gets in on the battles, though they are frequent enough and the stories are pretty engaging otherwise. You may also like Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
Thanks for the suggestions. We have played Lego Indiana Jones as well as Marvel Alliance and have enjoyed both. We will have to try some of the other suggestions. We may have to go to online play, but it seems such a waste to have to buy two copies of a game. Thanks again.

I don't think you can play Fable II co-op on the same system, I tried and couldn't. Or am I just stupid?

I could swear that my best friend and I did back when I bought the game. I'll test it out tonight.I will have all of next week, excluding time spent at work of course, to play games. If anyone would be kind enough to look at my profile and recommend some some games that may cater to my interests, I would be very appreciative.
Thanks in advance for any help!
I purchased BG: DA on the PS2 on the same day FF X came out years ago. As it turned out, though they were both great games, I have played Dark Alliance many more times through. This could be a result of the genre into which each game falls, but I feel one cannot go wrong with either of the Dark Alliance games (though the first is superior in my opinion).
My wife and I played both Balder Gates and enjoyed them considerably. One of the nice features about both is that they have same screen cooperative play which makes it very enjoyable for two players. I am not sure anymore if they allow three of four. At any rate, they are hack & slash types that were very entertaining playing either singly or together. If your like the hack & slash type adventure games, then I don't think you will go wrong.
Should I get Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1 and/or 2 for PS2? I can't find them at any stores so I'd have to order them. Are they really good games and worth ordering? I enjoy strategy/RPG games. Getting them for PC is not an option. Thanks!Solid_Snake325The Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance games aren't amazing, but they are still enjoyable. I recommend you order them.
Looking for a good dungeon crawler on PSP or DS preferably, but PC recommendations also appreciated.

If you're into old-school dungeon crawlers, there's Etrian Odyssey for the DS. If you're really old-school, there's also the Dark Spire, but I haven't played that one.
I'm almost finished with the campaign of Warcraft: Frozen Throne, so I'm in need of a new single player game. These are the games I have:
* Half Life 2
* Call of Duty
* The Longest Journey
* Planescape Torment
* Fallout
* Deus Ex
And maybe the original Rainbow Six if I can get it to work on xp.
I have no problems playing old games. Please give a reason why you recommended it over the others. Thanks.
I actually have that and Dawn of War too. But I'd like to avoid the RTS genre right now after coming off Warcraft. Get some variety. If you weren't responding to me, sorry.How about Starcraft?

I'm looking to get a good multiplayer game and a good single player game. I have a PC, PS3, and 360, but I prefer gaming on PC. I need these games to last me until November. I'm thinking of getting Battlefield 2 for my multiplayer game. Since its so cheap I could get 2 other games. Maybe Left 4 Dead or Counter Stirke and a game with a great singleplayer experience?
So could you suggest a game with great singleplayer and give your thoughts on which multiplayer game I should get (L4D, CSS, or something else)?
I already have Team Fortress 2. I know someone would probably suggest it if I didn't say I already had it.
I thought about it, but my laptop can only play that on minimum and with a multiplayer game, it'd be tough. I'm also broke right now, so the games I own are the only choices I got.Lol, I was, how about BF2 if you're into FPS's?

How about the "two birds with one stone" approach: Halo. There is both a PC version and an Xbox version ('360 compatibility only has minor lag issues).I'm looking to get a good multiplayer game and a good single player game. I already have Halo 3 on 360 so I don't think I want to buy Halo CE or Halo 2 on PC
Should I wait to get a PS3 one day to play Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1&2? Or should I get the originals(NG Black from XBO on Live marketplace and NG2)? I'm also thinking about getting it for God of War 3, Uncharted 1&2, Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII.blazingneo32089
I highly suggest getting the PS3 iterations. More content and superior graphics.
