[QUOTE="PBSnipes"]Today in c-(I can't believe this error is back)-lassy Apple news...The_Game21x

Wow, yet another iPhone prototype left behind. And again, at a bar.

We all know Apple does this on purpose.

Makes sense. That's some damn good viral marketing.

I also don't believe for a second that Apple would allow iPhone prototypes to be taken outside of secure Apple facilities guarded by dinosaurs and ninjas if that wasn't their plan.

Well I can believe it. They need to be able to test signal reception in different areas so I'd imagine they do send people out with prototypes all the time for that purpose. What I have a hard time believing is that these people are losing them. You'd think someone would keep a tight leash on something like that.

True that it's amazing that they manage to lose them, but i doubt it's intentional or viral marketing. The guy who found the last iPhone 4 which went missing ended up being charged with a criminal offense, and the missing iPhone 5 has resulted in the family who got their home searched making a formal complaint which includes accusations of being threatened with deportation, even though they're all valid American citizens who happen to be hispanic.

That'd be some god-awful marketing.

So Windows 8 is actually looking pretty snazzy, and you can try it out for yourself (albeit in very, very pre-beta form) starting at 8PM PST.

In terms of tablets, I think we're going to see a split with ipads controling the over $400 market and the upcoming Amazon kindleTab taking the lower market with its projected 200-250 price.  amazon has the backend to provide content for the device (with it's books, streaming movies,music,and appstore)  and will subsidize to get that below $300 price.

Windows 8 looks pretty damn snazzy (not looking forward to upgrading my OS...again, though) and I'd love to play around with it on my PC and a tablet. It looks like the OS that will finally do the tablet form factor justice in terms of getting stuff done.
