2) Thor Thorson actually used the NMH toilet paper! There goes our one chance on a truly geeky and otaku-filled gift prize.

3) Activision's CEO gets publically owned by a show host, then they sing a song that sounded better on Gran Tursimo 3.

Finally..I bought Pokemon Pearl on launch day (for $25 from Fry's!) and still haven't beaten it. I'm on 96 hours and my team is still underleveled for the Elite five. After all this time, the strategy to beating it is still A)fish a Magikarp B)raise it to level 20 C)use Gyrados for rest of game. I don't know if this is just a severe oversight or if Gyrados is still that awesome. Either way, it's lame that I'm using him to level the rest of a team that will be valuable about twice.

53 Gyrados, 49 Heracross, 52 Luxray, 47 Palkia, 43 Bronzong, and 42 Inernape.

A lot of time was lost filling out a pokedex and trading Hippodowns for practically everything rare. I guess there aren't very many people who want to catch all 28 Unown.

Ah I see. I think I beat the game around 60 hours, although my team wasn't much higher than level 50. I threw in an Azelf (I think..the one with high special attack?) with some TM moves and a Garchomp and they helped out a lot. I never bothered with Gyrados since I used him in just about all the previous games

My problem stemmed from a few bad choices. My 42 Onix has 179 defense, but only 90 life and 46 Special Defense. He died from a fire blast.

My Riolu has higher Sp. Att than Att, which I hear isn't so bad, but my Heracross is much stronger. And my Chansey has over 200 life but 9 Att. Oh, and I caught a Psyduck three different times because I felt compelled to catch one, not realizing I already had one in a box.

Good news everyone! My computer just notified me that my hard drive is 41 minutes from "imminent failure," so now I will have plenty of time to play that Mario Kart Wii I just bought. I wish it had notified me BEFORE I opened the box, as the new hard drive will be $70 from Newegg. It could be a month before I can afford it (thanks to my brake change and 4.15 gas).

So sorry Bob, looks like my streak will end at 7 weeks. Hopefully you will get your rolfs and 13 year olds that know enough to play GTA IV from someone else. I can still read your comments, but I can't link threads on my Wii. For everyone else, buy more games from Atlus. They're awesome. Really. And to mother nature, stop frying my systems. First my SNES, now my Genesis. Stop hating 16 bit consoles (and don't start hating on my 32 bit systems).

Hopefully no one gets banned while I'm gone! If you do, do a barrell roll!

I hope a big digital clock appeared on your desktop that makes the counting-down sound from 24 every second. That would almost make the hard drive failure worth it. If I worked at Microsoft....

That really sucks, though. My hard drive has to be pretty close to dying. I've had my computer for about six years, and I never turned it off for probably four of those years. I started backing up my important data last year in preparation. Whenever this PC dies, though, I'm getting a laptop. I'm tired of being confined to my desk whenever I want to get on the internet or type up a paper.

It depends, for the last decade failure rates have not gone down one iota, that's why I hate the idea of a hard drive for the Wii. Give me something solid state that can be run through a washing machine and come out spiffy and working.

For the hard drives it's the culture of the business.

I made it through. But I cheated a little bit by playing Mario Kart while it was playing beside me. A couple of times, I thought the "mud" part had changed in pitch or something, so I went back to the beginning and it was the same. Weird.

I missed the first half of the game because I'm traveling but I got to the hotel in time to see them tie it and take the lead. I guess they were sluggish at first but have completely stolen the momentum and then some. I haven't seen Joe Louis Arena that nuts in years.

I must say it's pretty unpleasant. Unlike alcohol, which makes you feel good.. this one just makes my heart and stomach hurt.

Moral of story: Don't take multiple caffeine pills with tea.

One of my friends drank too many caffeinated beers one night (I can't remember the brand name). His heart was racing for a couple of hours. He was pretty worried. The combination of that much caffeine and alcohol can't be good for you.

Yeah it sucks. On one hand, much like too much alcohol if you have too much caffeine your body will want to purge it and therefore make you feel like throwing up, and then there's the erratic heart beat that just makes you more worried then anything, as if you're going to have a heart attack any second. And it makes you feel like crap..like you want to take a nap and sleep it off but the stimulant pretty much won't let you go to sleep. I'd take a hangover over this any day.

Generally I use caffeine supplements before a work out and I use up pretty much most of the energy I have there so it's okay.. but I tried a new one today and it seems I overdosed.

I also would take them for all nighters during term paper season in school.. that was just bad news!

Well I know that I'm probably late to the party, but I'll say it anyway...

I just saw the new Rambo movie for the third time and can not get over how amazing it is! It has to be one of the most intense movies that I've seen in a while. Stallone was great, if you ask me, but then again I never saw the previous movies, so my opinion may be void for some people...

Anyway, I was amazed. It's one of those movies that gets your blood flowing (speaking of which, the movie is completely over-the-top with it's violence) and makes you want to work out, or just start a fight with someone.

The worst part is that I just watched it before I would go to bed and now I'm to pumped to sleep... :cry:

No...I'm pretty sure Ryan Davis was laughing (I was laughing so it was hard to hear anything but Brad's UHHHHH). But think about it, the others on the Hotspot that day were Rich and Greg (and maybe Ocampo), so in the end we're all noobs. Brad Shoemaker was still specials, sadly he only knew Afrika as that game Jeff bought a PS3 for.

Well, I finished Ninja Gaiden 2 yesterday, and if I'm being perfectly honest it was a massive disappointment. I just wrote a review of it, but if you want a few general reasons as to why it was so bad imagine this: You're fighting twenty ninjas at one time, the framerate is in single digits, and the camera is so bad you can't even see what you're doing.

Yeah, 6/10.

With a 5 year warranty plus no taxes and free shipping, there will be no fretting at all. In fact, I'll probably partition the drive to work on the laptop and that PS3 I'm getting before Disgaea 3 hits America (yes, D3 really is my system seller[yes that totally makes me king otaku]).

Three days away...man I'm going to love not using my mom's computer again.
