damn lando, whats up with your boys flopping?
any why was alston riding the bench the second half? after he won the last game? stan is doing his best to lose this series
mems_1224
Alston was not playing too great in the third quarter and was part of the unit that allowed the Magic to blow their lead. Jameer got put in and the bleeding stopped and he wasn't making mistakes, so Stan rode him out. He prolly did keep Jameer in too long but the Magic still were in the drivers seat with a minute left to go so I dunno how that's doing his best to lose the series. If Dwight makes one free throw we would be talking about how keeping Jameer in was a good decision that led us to a win.
That's the dumb thing about blaming a coach. If the Magic make their shots and win, Stan is a genius. If the Magic miss their shots, Stan is an idiot. Sometimes your shots fall and sometimes they don't, doesn't mean you're a better/worse coach based on if a shot goes in or not, but sadly that's how people view things.
Anyways, congrats to the Lakers. Magic let go of too many oppurtunities in games 2 and 4, and the Magic didn't show any heart out there today. I can't say the Magic deserved it based on what they showed tonight.
i recall that lame vik saying kobe would never win again ....Â

its ok . parade on weds! i love LA! . .............................
Â
You could be happier.. It couldve been payback for last yr if the KG wasnt hurt and the Celtics were in the finals.. That wouldve made you happier..
um not really because we didn't have Bynum or Ariza last year either, we're going to get payback next June anyways 8)Â
Yall couldve been more dominant in all series..
besides the Houston series where they slacked off a couple games, The Lakers pretty much dominated every opponent they faced :)
you cant deny that the Lakers won.. I take my fitted off to them..
Thank You

[QUOTE="TheHimura"][QUOTE="elpooz"]hi haters. so, how does it feel? elpooz
wut? almost everyone picked Lakers to win this...
i'm talking about people on otb. colt, ryder, etc...
my heart has no hate. just love.cali you aren't even a bball fan lol
I also have my doubts about elpooz too because this thread has been open for a year and it took him until the conference finals to finally post in it:P
as far as basketball goes, lol at Brandon Jennings dissing Rubio already. I wouldn't be suprised if Rubio is there at #4 Colt, and I wouldn't be suprised if they passed on him either because there are still a lot of doubts about Rubio's game. There's a lot of uncertainty since people haven't seen him play as much and he isn't working out with teams...
Hedo Turkolgu wants $10 mill a year. The Magic have to go into the luxury tax to keep him so it'll be interesting to see if we're willing to do it. I also expect either Jameer or Rafer to be gone, most likely Rafer. If Hedo does leave, we can do a sign and trade package of Hedo/Alston/Battie for a legit PF like Amare or Bosh. Not saying the Suns or Raps would do it, but it works under the cap... and I think most people believe Bosh is gonna leave Toronto anyways so at least they'd be getting something in return.
Lakers prolly will have to get rid of Ariza or Odom because they don't have the capspace to keep them both. I expect Odom to be the one to leave just because Odom is a lot older.
I used to be one a couple years ago....but I lost mad interest.....don't make assumptions lol, I've been a Laker fans ever since the Del Harris days 8)cali you aren't even a bball fan lol

I just want the best passer in the draft on the Kings. I don't care who he is, or what his name is. If it's Rubio, then I want Rubio. If someone's better, than I want that person. The Kings have pretty much 3 first round picks (#4, #23, #31), and these picks are crucial for the success of our team in the next few years. We need a PG who can pass, and play some defense. idc if he can't score. who do you think goes number 2/3, if Rubio is going to be available at 4? Thabeet at 2, and Jennings at 3?
lol, you guys should just keep Hedo, and let Bosh become a FA, so he can sign with the kings 8) [in my dreams of course]

I've seen Jennings stock fall recently too. I can see James Harden going #3 to play alongside Durant and Green.
There's a huge selection of lottery PG's: Rubio, Jennings, Jrue Holiday, Tyreke Evans, Johnny Flynn. You guys are gonna get one of them. Their positions are gonna be going up and down until draft day but I have a hard time seeing the Kings not picking one of them.
If you want a PG who can play defense you want Jrue Holiday. However as I said earlier, I was not impressed with him at UCLA. His playmaking/offensive skills were non existant whenever I watched him... maybe that's simply because he was a freshmen being thrown right into UCLA's system, but who knows until after the fact. Jrue Holiday video
Rubio is probably the biggest risk since people haven't seen him play as much and he's refusing to work out with teams. But if he's really as good as everyone says he is then look out. Rubio video
Flynn is probably the safest pick of the group and last year I think he proved he'll be the best leader out of the bunch and that he has the most heart. He kinda reminds me of Rondo the way he plays. His biggest knock is his size. Flynn dunk
Tyreke Evans' stock has gone up the most since we've talking about the draft. A lot of sites had him listed in the teens but now draftexpress has him going at #6 which is more of how I viewed him. Evans played SG to start off his freshmen year, then got moved to PG and Memphis went undefeated until the tourney. He's 6'5 220 with great playmaking skills, vision, slashing/driving ability. His biggest weakness is his outside shot. He can improve it its just his form is pretty bad Tyreke Evans tourney highlights
Jennings has the most potential imo. Amazing quickness, amazing athleticism, amazing vision. But he also is a huge risk because he plays out of control sometimes and will jack up some bad shots. He's either going to be great or be the next Sebastian Telfair. The package is there, his biggest problem is the mental aspect.Brandon Jennings in video

ive seen a lot of mocks give the kings jrue holiday. looking at him closer, idk if id want him. he's good defensively, but he's relatively unproductive on the offensive end, at least that's what it seems like. he looks more like a nice role player, maybe a solid backup PG/SG than anything. no thanks.
youre right, flynn seems like the safest pick...still, id rather have the more controlled rubio, than flynn based on what im reading. overall though, i trust in one thing about the kings, and that is that they'll draft well. Hedo in '00, Gerald Wallace in '01, Dan Dickau in '02...we had no picks in '03, but kevin martin in 2004, Francisco Garcia/Darrius Songolia in '05, Hawes in '07, Thompson in 08...mind you, outside of Hawes/Thompson most of these picks have been in the 20's or the 2nd round, and all have held starting roles on a team at some point in their careers. Geoff Petrie knows how to draft, it's just a matter of keeping them that he has a problem with. we'd be a much better team with guys like Hedo, and Wallace still on the team. We'd still need a PG, but this draft is filled with potential at the PG position.
nellie told hill they want a pg. monta said he'd ask to be traded if they drafted a pg. i have no idea what's going to happen. i'm going to side with monta on this he's going to be one of the top pg's next season and we really need size. i'd throw in belinelli to get thabeet as well.rubbersouIthe warriors are such a big mess. its getting really sad because they have loads of talent
martin + #4 for rubiorubbersouIMartin as in, Kevin Martin? You really forgot to write just kidding in your post, didn't you? Don't worry, I won't rag on you. You get a second chance to write it. Go ahead now.
