you would by definition be pro-choice then, as being anti-choice essentially places restrictions on ppl's decisions.

If people were more responsible abortion would not be needed. But the way the world is today makes it incredibly easy to get rid of "mistakes".

Not as many abortions would be going on if we probably educated people on this topic a little better.

it is in her body... the govt should not have the initiative to control her body. and it attached to her body therefore in her body.

If you're an adult and need to be educated on what the result of sex without birth control does, that's a whole different problem. Most people know where babies come from by like, 8 now.

There's not much of a point in hammering that in when they know they can just get an abortion.

I believe every woman should have the ability and legal rights to choose an abortion and not have to jump through hoops (like watching the ultrasound) to get one. Unless for serious medical reasons, I don't think abortions are necessary past about 4 months, you should make up your mind by then. Until a baby can survive outside the womb without a bunch of medical devices keeping them alive, I don't think a baby has any rights that should overpower the mother's. Women should be given all their options in an unbiased and informative way and not lied to or tricked. That should be an offense that would get a doctor jail time if he stretches the truth or lies to a woman to prevent her from having an abortion or trying to change her opinion via untruths. In short though, if you don't like abortion, don't have one. Don't deny others that right simply because you don't like it.

Often nothing if you can't afford one. Beyond that though, I wouldn't know.

I'd rather people not use abortion as a form of birth control, but I dont believe it should be illegal.  However, I dont believe in late term abortions.  If you're going to have one, do it early.

why do you feel like restricting a woman's right though...she should be able to do it whenever she chooses. what happens if she loses her job midway through pregnancy? then she has to do an abortion late-term for her family.

why not? it is her right. if a woman has the right to her body in 1st trimester why shouldnt she in other trimesters? why does she lose this right due to arbitrary guidelines set by power structures??

Once you get beyond a certain time period, a fetus becomes an infant that is capable of surviving outside the womb. That's a huge difference between an early term abortion. 40 weeks is full term, but infants can survive as early as 25 weeks. The youngest recorded is 22 weeks, I believe.

That's no justification for doing it late term if she didn't want to do it earlier. You completely missed my point.

I just don't think people need to wait 6+ months to decide if they want to keep a baby. They're not pondering over paint colors, this is a child they will have to raise. I don't think there should be a cutoff date like "Oh so sorry, you were 5 months exactly yesterday, no abortion for you!" I just think you have to be kind of stupid to take months to decide what you want. You probably find out a month in, maybe 2. It shouldn't take that long to decide what you want to do. Also thinking from a logical money standpoint, pill abortions are FAR less expensive than surgical ones, so it benefits the health care system if you can decide when the ability to have an abortion via a pill is still an option.

Pro-choice. Though I personally wouldn't get one under normal circumstances.

I'm much more for comprehensive sex education. If we stop giving our kids crappy abstinence only based sex education and telling them stupid shit like "condoms don't work" and "birth control causes breast cancer" then maybe teens can make more responsible choices and not really need abortion. I seriously cannot wrap my head around why a lot of the pro-life people who want to ban abortion also want to restrict a woman's ability to acess birth control.

I don't agree with it personally, but I understand why it is legal and I think it should remain legal for that reason. Though being honest, I would probably think less of a person if I knew they had an abortion. It just seems a bit barbaric to me.

I'm not really interested in the whole issue but if I were asked to take a stand I'd choose pro-life so long as there is no health risks for the mother of course.
