Yes we are! POWER TO THE HAIRY MEN! *PATS CHEAT*xSIZEMATTER
That came out of nowhere... hell yeah they cheat! *GO MIAMI*

yeah take it from the electrical engineer :P[QUOTE="DivergeUnify"][QUOTE="Pearl_of_Egypt"]um, there are plenty of female scientists you know. and did you know that in med school there are more women than men?Napster06
That is A fact. And even in Engineering (not all) there are more women than men. Me likey! :D
Ok that's almost NEVER the case - engineering is the faculty with the least amount of women (statistically speaking).
And it's not that women aren't smart, because they are. It's just that men take it to the next level in advancing math and science.
Women belong in the kitchen and should just bear children.
No, they are not._Marisa_
You said that twice!
We have more hair them you girls! ah ha! beat that! :D
Oh wait...nvm don't beat that...:|

Statistically, yes. But again it depends on the 'type' of engineering.
I don't see men in colleges tend to 'advance' in math and science. There are smart men, but number is small, putting women look smarter.
And the last part sounds a bit feminist, IMO?
No offence. Why all the scientists are men?Big_Black_Eyes
What makes you think there are no women scientists?

I think you mean anti-feminist. And I was just being an @ss.
If you look at the medical journals and research papers that are published you can tell majority (key word) are done and lead by men. It is due in part to evolution where men had to develop strong spatial skills (ie throwing the spear) while women were caregivers. Why do you think most nurses are women, it's just part of their nature. Again not saying that there are not any intelligent women but all the advances in old and modern technology are done primarly by men.
[QUOTE="Big_Black_Eyes"]No offence. Why all the scientists are men?Napster06
That was back then when women were deprived from formal education.
What have women accomplished since then? I still don't see any female Einsteins out there. Where are the female Einsteins?

Ah yes, my bad.
And I would say most, not all. There are journal that are written by female. And nowadays, there isn't anymore one man shows. Most medical juournals are conducted by a group of people rather than either just a male or female.

Not that hard when you have a Pierre Curie in the family to lend an extra hand :)

no need to be sexist. respect women.Men are harder better faster stronger. And in general, smarter. That doesn't mean all women aren't smart. There are some women smarter than some men but in general, men are smarter.Denjin_hadoukenyou can't say men are smarter. that's only an assumption and not scientifically proven. nice try.

Actually, there's a great deal of scientific and historical precedence for his statement. It's a result of evolution. Men have always been the leaders and hunter-gatherers of the species resulting in a higher development of mental and physical skills. We are superior in those area's, while women are better geared for child care, are better nurterers in general, and do live longer on the average. Nice try though.
OH NO YOU DIDNT GO THERE
Well, it seems you did.
Short answer - men and women think differently. Men are more visually orrientated. Women are better at oral learning. Please, no sexual cracks.
As far as I'm concerned, who is more intelligence is not really that important, because the answer is clear that if one gender is actually more intelligent it is only by a small margin and both genders have proven that they are capable of doing any occupation, equally, except obviously on physical jobs where men have the biological advantage of bodysize.
I'd be more interested to know exactly what the emotional differences are. Well, the scientifc reasons behind the OBVIOUS emotional differences... Hehheh...
You know what I'm 'talkin bout, don't yah?
[QUOTE="ryochus"][QUOTE="Napster06"][QUOTE="Tolwan"]Einstein didnt get help on Relativity as far as i recall.
Napster06
How'd you know?
Why would they lie about him?
He didn't answer. I asked how'd you know?
The answer is obvious. *history*, Biographies, stuff like that. He didnt get help on his theory of relativity. Most revolutionary theories come out of the mind of one man, and then later are examined by groups of scientists, like Steven Hawkings theories, in particular his theories on black holes and particles that appear and disappear.
