[QUOTE="m25105"] Being a cop doesn't mean you can be in a 3 round fight going full power nonstop. Mike Russow is an active policeman, but isn't known for his stamina. None of the current best fighters look like big beefcakes, usually every time a beefcake fights he gets his ass handed to him, by the somewhat flabbier fighter. Hell, Enson Inoue is a real man, if we're going to use examples.m25105
so you equate real men with fighting prowess?
i wouldn't imagine Sergio being able to beat a professional fighter, considering Sergio never trained in fighting.
No just pointing to the fallacy that a real man needs to look like he's sculpted from clay, when combat sports have proven that these statues come to life, fare badly in competition.
Enson Inoue, however, besides being a fighter that's tough as nails (Frank Shamrock described his fight with Inoe, as the toughest fight of his career and thought that he was going to die in that fight), has shown very admirable traits in terms of going above and beyond to help and keep helping. He has now dedicated his life to help the victims of Northern Japan, by spending nearly all of his money to feed, clothe and provide any help he can, even to stray animals, venturing north to irradiated areas.
He's now organising a walk across all of Japan, after having done numerous pilgrameges. But no, you don't have to be a fighter to be a real man. My post was just to deflate the notion of looking like a beefcake is the equal of being a real man.

it's a good thing that i never claimed that was the only quality of a true man, or Sergio.
