Yet it's the most watched show on cable television? I find it hilarious when you guys insult him like this.

I told you why they do it.

I know, I wasn't asking for a reason, I was just saying that it's funny to hear all the insults.

Patriotic Americans have been seeing through righties like you and have been gleefully voting you guys out of office.

But please keep regurgitating Limbaugh talking points. You'll never learn why you lost :)

 You're not even serious anymore. I'm not even a conservative and don't listen to Limbaugh. But keep feeding Media Matters lines. Done with you.

Let me guess; You're an independent like OREilly, right?

The very concept of a 'icon' is subjective. An icon to someone may not be to someone else. Bill O'Reilly is a moron to make such a broad sweeping statement like that. Who gives what Bill O'Reilly thinks?

Thats the point, if they don't care why do they throw a fit over everything he says? The fact the get so bent out of shape over him shows they do care.

His show is the most watched on television! So i'm guessing, a LOT of people. Do any of you O'Reilly opposers see how some of your comments make no sense?

It's not the most watch show on television, it the most watched show at his time slot. He repeats that on almost every episode.

I had remembered seeing a reliable source that said it was the most watched show with 3.5 million viewers per night. I will try to find it for you.

That doesn't really say much. Older people watch a lot of tv, older people are usually conservative or something close to it, so it seems logical that his show would be a poular destination.

I also think, but this is more opinion, that conservatives are more "angry" and more likely to like to gather and vent (or listen to someone vent) about how the "others" suck. Most liberals I know listen to music more than watch TV.

I am a hardcore liberal. I rarely watch TV, and almost never a news based talk show. My best friend is even worse. I doubt he turns on a tv more than a couple of times a week. Just my observation.

"The O'Reilly Factor is the most-watched cable news show in the USA.[2][3][4] As of 2009, The O'Reilly Factor averages about 3.5 million viewers a night." As you can see the quote has 3 references, if you'd like me to give them to you I can.

"Cable News Show" are the key words there It's not the top news show because, Dateline and 60 Minutes both get more viewers. And it definitely isn't the most watched show. 3.5 million people isn't a lot of people in terms of television. You're acting like that majority of the country.

Maybe you should check the demographics of the show. Conservatives are not more angry, that is a lie. Test it out, got to Liberal sites and a Conservative one, the left sites are more hostile and less open to people of other viewpoints than right wing ones. Thats why I am not a liberal and stay in the center, Liberals were WAY TOO hostile.

While I was looking for my source, I stumbled upon this one and as you said, it stated, "cable news show". This is not where my original source was and so I deleted my post. I will continue trying to find the one that shows his show is the most watched.

I can't speak for everyone, but I could care less if he was a liberal or conservative. I don't need everyone on Earth to agree with me.

I don't like him for how he says what he says more than WHAT he says. He comes off a angry, bitter, and quite possibly racist.

I would agree! O'Reilly shows during the evening get over 5 million viewers. That is staggering considering it is cable news. He is close to getting more viewers than some of the national news shows.

The interesting thing is that I have been to a conservative site but not a liberal one. I guess I like to see what the opposition is thinking. I gotta say, they were very angry when I was on them. And pretty racist to boot. I didn't comment though. Just read.

As I said, never been to a liberal one. Are there even any popular ones?I thought the consensus was that we are "tree hugging hippies"? Doesn't go to well with the word "anger". I am not angry at all, at least.

Yea but "More To Love" get about 7 million viewers every week, so in perspective more people care about a fat girl looking for a boyfriend than both of them. And even then that's about 2 percent of the population.

I am a hardcore liberal. I rarely watch TV, and almost never a news based talk show. My best friend is even worse. I doubt he turns on a tv more than a couple of times a week. Just my observation.

So you're saying conservatives are more likely to vent, when at the same time I'm seeing liberals constantly bash O'Reilly (not just here).

I would say that "calling someone stupid when they say something dumb"(which this was) and bashing are two different things. I have only done so twice. This time, and when he attacked Ludicris back in the day (although I don't like Ludicris either).

I went to a conservative one, not angery or racist but more open then the liberal ones. If they were angery it may have been a far right site, which you need to avoid like the plague. I only go to moderate conservative ones when I do bother. I went to one, the whole tree hugger thing was so false its sad. But they deny the site is liberal, HA! Won't say the name, maybe seen as advertising which is ban worthy. But the one I went to was rather hostile and disproved that whole happy tree hugger liberal line. They made me not stand liberals, not fox or bill. Heck, I even voted for Al Gore in 2000.

I'm a liberal and I don't turn on the TV unless Fresh Prince is on or there is something good on HBO

[QUOTE="MoonMarvel"][QUOTE="Ace_WondersX"] "Cable News Show" are the key words there It's not the top news show because, Dateline and 60 Minutes both get more viewers. And it definitely isn't the most watched show. 3.5 million people isn't a lot of people in terms of television. You're acting like that majority of the country.Ace_WondersX

WWE Monday Night Raw averages about 5 million every monday night.

Yea but "More To Love" get about 7 million viewers every week, so in perspective more people care about a fat girl looking for a boyfriend than both of them. And even then that's about 2 percent of the population.

Never heard of more to love. And WWE Raw is on cable....

Correction: So You Think You can Dance get about 7 million viewers, not More To Love.

But what I'm trying to say is that 3.5, 5, 7 million people is not a lot of people compared to a country of 300+ million. So to use that as proof that Bill O'Reilly must be correct and intelligent or that he influences a lot of people because he gets 3.5 million viewers is kinda...

"O'Reilly criticized Jackson for "incredible selfishness -- spending hundreds of million dollars on himself while singing 'We Are the World,'" and said that it "should make any clear-thinking American nauseous." Speaking to guest analyst Marc Lamont Hill, a black FOX commentator, O'Reilly also addressed race as an issue at the memorial service: "Why are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton making this a racial deal? Jackson bleached his own skin. And then chose white men to provide existence for his in vitro children. Give me a break with all this."" Wow o_O First of all what about the millions he donated to charity? Second of all - he had a skin condition and it is real because I saw a guy once who had it. He wore tons of stage make-up and had plastic surgery to make it even.

I sort of agree with those hatemongers in this case. MJ was a lot of things, but he was also much to weird to be considered a black icon. Before the 90s he could have been, but not anymore.

Bill O'Reilly might be a closet racist, but Limbaugh is an open racist. It isn't hard to find proof of his prejudice.

I don't think O'Reilly's opinion that MJ is not a Black Icon has anything to do with him being a racist or anything to do with race period. He feels that way because of MJ's controversial life and the fact that in recent years people have generally seen him as wacko jacko more than any of the positive things but when he died that quickly changed.

Bill O'Rielly is not racist but I admit that he, being a white man, should not be determining who is a Black Icon for the Black community.

I think Don Imus is still on the air. Yea, Limbaugh has said things way worst than the Imus comments and he's still here so I doubt that'll do anything. O'Reilly is tolerable compared to the other Right Wing pundits, he just way too self-righteous when he has done some questionable things too, which gets annoying.
