As do I. Sexual sin is probably the hardest sin to defeat for males. (OMG Sexist!) Even I fail when I try to beat it. But that doesn't mean it's right and that's what I was trying to prove the whole time. :P

battlefront23

Well, that's where our views differ. The way I see it, I wasn't given an attraction towards other males just to ignore it.

So you think if you have a desire that doesn't affect or hurt anyone else, that it is ok to act on that desire.

Have you ever told a lie? Yes, I try to talk around the topic than actually lying most of the times though.
Have you ever stolen anything? Yes
Have you ever looked with lust? Yes
Have you ever hated anyone? Yes, and no words will ever be able to change my opinion on the matter.
Have you ever used God's name in vain? Like as a swear word? Yes, all the time. I don't think he minds that much though since people seem to be asking selfish things all the time.

Thinking about it is the root of the action. Just thinking about it won't, but if you continue thinking about it where it becomes an obsession, then you'll eventually perform the action, so yes it can lead to doing wrong, eventually.

But thinking leads to action. Not always, but the fact that it might makes me try my hardest to not have any lustful thoughts about girls.

The sex wouldn't have been wrong. When you said "hurt someone" I assumed you meant emotionally. And If I lead someone to be confused, upset, or conflicted, then I'd feel bad. More than anything, it would have been bad timing.

I don't get why following the bible would make you a good person, as alot of it contradicts itself and the fact its not proven to be solid evidence on how to live your life the way 'god' would want you to.

I'd say im in between, as though ive never really done anything terrible, though im guilty of looking down at people

Evangelist A: (A bunch of quoted posts followed by their own post with 98% Bible quotes. All words, no substance)

Evangelist B: "Good job! Excellent Bible quotes. I completely agree!"

*high fives*

Evangelist A: "Why thank you, Evangelist B! Why, all this talk about the Bible is giving me a major hard-on right now. I'm going to take a break. Could you Evangelize for me while I pray to God that my hard-on will go away? I'll be back in 2 minutes."

Evangelist B: "Sure Evangelist A. God Bless."

*high fives*

Evangelist B: "To all the non-believers on here: Do you consider yourself a good person?"

(Evangelist C enters the fray...out of nowhere)

Evangelist C: "Hello Evangelist B. According to God's word, all of us fall short of his glory. No one is righteous, not one. But since I have a personal relationship with God, I hope to become a good person someday and enter his kingdom."

Evangelist B: "Hi Evangelist C!Good job! Evangelism for the win! Praise the Lord!"

Also, yes I do consider myself a good person. Not by your god's standards obviously, but that doesn't particularly bother me as he probably doesn't exist.

A thought may have been part of the process of me doing the nieghbors hot wife but it did not make me. I chose to do that.

When we start trying to repress the human thought process we need to examine our society. Take homosexuality for example. It hurts nobody but its a "sin" according to some people worthy of punishment by death.

You know I am of that rare breed that considers selfishness to be a virtue. I also consider self sacrifice to be a virtue but I don't belive that a somewhat self centered outlook on life as long as you don't hurt anyone else is "bad"

Being a Christian does not make us a good person. We are still sinners as we before. However...when we become Christians, our sins are covered by the Blood of the Lamb, and we are saved for all eternity.:)

Thank you for responding. Now:
So, since you've told a lie, what does that make you?
Since you've stolen something, what does that make you?
In reference to looking with lust, Alt, the Bible says, "Ye have heard it said of men of old to not commit adultery. But I say unto you, whoever looks upon a woman, to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart."
When we look with lust, Alt, the Bible says we have committed adultery.
And when we use God's name in vain, the Bible calls that blasphemy. We are commanded to honor His name.

...I don't seem to remember doing the post you quoted.

I took the part that wasn't the questions out. It was your first post. Why do you have *Picture Here* in the quote?

The Bible says, "Ye have heard it said of men of old to not commit adultery. But I say unto you, whoever looks upon a woman, to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart."
When we look with lust, Pwnzz, we are committing adultery according to the Bible.

The Bible says, "Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer."
When we hate, Pwnzz, we are committing murder according to the Bible.

The Bible says we are to honor the name of the Lord.
When we misuse it, Pwnzz, we are committing blasphemy.Crushmaster

Yay!!! :D

Would you like to do the questions, Black Cat?:)

I already did Crush, back when you first made the thread, but I'll be happy to answer again, here you go:

I used to lie a lot to get people off my back, it's pretty much solved now, though.

I haven't stolen anything since I was in elementary school.

I like women, what can I say? That doesn't mean I go about staring at every pair of bewbs and drooling over every butt I see, though, I know how to control myself.

I always use God's name in vain, I don't see a problem with it, surely he can handle an insignificant ant like myself calling him names?

And I do consider myself a good person, things aren't as black and white as you put them.

I always lie. (The previous statement is true) Blood-Scribe

So since you've told a lie, what does that make you?
Just because I borrowed without returning doesn't mean I was stealing. Blood-Scribe

Since you've stolen something, what does that make you?
No, I was merely taking notice of certain anatomical features for taxonomic purposes. Blood-Scribe

When we look with lust, Scribe, the Bible says we are committing adultery.
I am a terrible person. Blood-Scribe

I don't get that. To commit adultery, you have to be committed to someone. If you aren't, then there shouldn't be a problem.

Have you ever told a lie? Yes. cowboymonkey21

So, since you've told a lie, what does that make you?
Have you ever looked with lust? Yes.cowboymonkey21

The Bible says, "Ye have heard it said of men of old to not commit adultery. But I say unto you, whoever looks upon a woman, to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart."
When we look with lust, Cowboy, we are committing adultery according to God's Word.
Have you ever hated anyone? Yes. cowboymonkey21

The Bible says, "Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer."
When we hate, Cowboy, according to God's Word, are committing murder.
Have you ever used God's name in vain? Yes. cowboymonkey21

The Bible commands us to honor God's name. When we use it in a inappropriate manner, we are committing blasphemy.

Just saying we're sorry won't save us, Scribe. Christ is all that can.
