edit: i dont know much about japans tax system other then it is modled off of germanys, but i do know quite alot about the german system, and i would be ok as an immigrant
Without immigrants many states would have a decreasing population. Not to mention, finding a good way to 'legalize' illegal immigrants means new sources of income taxes. It's not like illegals don't already use our services, it's time to get our money back from them.
i have nothing against immigrating, they should go through the proper channels but other then that, the states should be open to all. its how the country was founded and its how it reached glory.Without immigrants many states would have a decreasing population. Which country's health care are you talking about? This legislation we're talking about in this thread took place in the U.S.why is the government takover of the best health care system in the world referred to as "reform"?

My grandmother is likely going to yell at me and curse me because I voted for Obama. Even though I'm not happy about this bill.

Whenever anybody citizen or otherwise, uses emergency rooms the cost is pushed back on the hospital, then your insurer, then you. The hope is that by providing preventative health care to the uninsured, costs are reduced in the long run.

The fact that illegals are covered is complete horse****. This redistrobution of wealth in this country alone is getting out of control and now we are redisributing it to people who arent even citizens...
This whole bill is just one big GIANT FAIL. All college students out there that have student loans... ALL OF YOU. Guess what?? With this bill the government now owns you. Yup. Its true. With this bill the government seized control of all student loans.. Granted, but you not being okay with it is hardly going to rectify the situation. Stemming the tide of illegal immigration and deporting illegal immigrants is an entirely seperate issue to health care reform, one which I suspect (like abortion and end of life counselling) has been brought up to attempt to derail a piece of legislation which is far more general in intent. If, as the independent Congressional Budget Office predicts, the current bill does reduce the US deficit by over a trillion dollars in the next decade, effectively reducing the cost to you of illegal immigrants using US health care, is that not a good thing?

In reality people around the time of the founding fathers were still trying to learn to be civil creatures and considering most of the public were not and not very well educated at all it made the most sense at the time of how they felt who should vote and who should not. Secondly one thing that they did not want and it has happened now for years is big government. This healthcare plan just makes the government bigger then it already is. Also why don't you look at India 10-15 years ago when government was involved in everything. How people should live, work, run businesses. You know what happened no one could own a business because there was so much paper work and moneythat was involved to make sure employees were taken care of andall sorts of regulations which put society at a stand still because nothing could move forward. Now look at India, because the government laid off and allowed their people to breath they are a very properous and growing country. Governmentinvolvment is fine but there has to be balance.
