How can I get this guy fired?

So anyway, there's this one convenience store that I go to a lot, because it's open 24 hours and I pass it on my way back home from work. But there's this new guy who works there who's a total ass. I go in there to buy cigarettes and he's like "you should stop smoking so much, you'll get cancer."

Yeah, whatever. As if I take any of my advice from a damn gas station cashier.

Anyway, yesterday I went there and bought a pack of cigarettes and he said "Good boy! Down to one pack a day!" And that's when I decided that he needs to lose his job.

So...I'm probably going to complain to management. Can't do that yet though, since I don't know his name and he doesn't wear a nametag. I went there tonight with the intention of asking him what his name was, but he wasn't working tonight. Anyway, I plan on doing that. The only problem is that gas station cashiers only get fired out of extreme incompetence. The last manager who worked there used to always give me free stuff, used to brag to me about the girls he had sex with in the restroom during business hours, and he once told me about how he brought in his X-Box, unhooked the security equipment from the TV so that he could play Halo in the back room while customers were waiting around lined up at the cash register with no one to serve them. And he WAS the manager, and he was there for at least a good 9 months.

So that's a problem. I could complain, but I guarantee that that won't be enough to get this guy fired, if the movie Clerks is even slightly realistic. So how CAN I get him fired (without doing anything illegal)? Because damnit, he DOES need to lose his job.

I'm sorry, these are CONVENIENCE STORES. They are not GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO BUY OVERPRICED PRODUCTS stores. I go to that convenient store because it is CONVENIENT. I thought about that, but he looks like he's at least 30 years old. So chances are that he ought to know better by now. He's probably just naturally a humongous jerk, and talking to him will probably just make him be even more of a jerk.

Maybe the next time he tries to give me **** because I want a pack of cigarettes to calm me down after busting my ass at work, I should ask him why he's in the business of selling cigarettes if he has such a huge problem with it.

Why not just be polite the first time? :? It's entirely possible that the guy has no idea the way in which you take his comments. It only takes a few seconds to just say something like, "Look, could you please stop making those comments? I'm not going to quit, and it's just annoying." If he doesn't stop, then you can confidently conclude that he is indeed an ass and deserves what he gets. But before that, it's entirely possible that it'd be you who'd be the one being a dick.

There is a big question to that, and he wasn't trying to ridicule you. And cigarettes aren't the only thing he sells. And why is being a jackass okay, but being a (not really) jackass at work grounds for being force-fired?

No offense, but stewing about something to this extent and writing dozens of paragraphs about it to people on the internet is not exactly the best way to deal with something that could very well be solved just by saying one or two sentences to the guy actually causing this frustration. Have you had your blood pressure checked recently? :P

I really get the sense that you've created this amazingly vivid picture in your head of who this guy is and what makes him tick as a result of your repeated encounters with this guy... but that may be entirely incorrect, and you seem unwilling to even consider challenging that picture.
