I'm well aware that it happens, and that it has to happen. We're omnivores, we eat meat, and that means we have to kill animals. Only a few hundred years ago families were killing their own animals - and this still happens today. The majority of us have just grown up in societies that treat violence like this as being wrong, and indeed the needless killing or suffering of animals is wrong, that's why there are suppsoed to be laws in palce that ensure animals are killed humanly.

It's sad, but hunting and killing animals for food has been part of our lives as a species for thousands and thousands of years.

Edit: Wtf two posts up there are people talking about gay genes. Am I in the right thread?

Not gonna stop me from eating meat. There are a minority of these kinds of places and of course a pro vegetarian video is going to thrive on that. The minority that does this should not be allowed to do what they do though.

It's sad, yes, and I do not condone it. But people (not pointing at you, TC) who accuse those who eat meat as being morally and ethically corrupt piss me off. EVERYTHING you do in life is in someway morally repungent and ethically opposable to some extent. Against slave labor? Don't wear clothes or wear shoes. Stop using all technology. The only way one can live a life NOT as a hypocrite is to live like Ted Kasynski (sp?) did, raising your own crops, making your own clothes. Vegetarians and vegans can pass judgements on my eating habits, but they only need to look at the brand name of the material they wear on their very own backs or the shoes they are wearing to see the hypocrisy of what they're spouting.
