As an outsider to Israel and ignorant of its military practices, I can only say that they seemed out of line from my standpoint.

On one hand, we don't know the situation, and it sounded pretty tense all around. On the other, wow. They looked completely out of line.

I can't even tell whats going on

It looked like they are trying to enforce crowd control, but they're the only ones using violence.

A quick search on youtube and you can find many videos of Israeli soldiers, spitting, degrading and beating Palestinians.

And? For all we know, the camera men were being selective in what they filmed, and even if it was the case, Israel is after all a democratic country and monitored by the UN. If it happened, we'd hear about it. From the looks of it, they were restraining protesters who were causing problems, debate as you will their methods or the fairness of their decisions.

You're not seriously disregarding my post in the light of Israel following International law. I can't believe the ends one would reach to stand by his point...

You also heard about them building settlements outside of their borders, didn't you?

If we can get liveleak videos of every action the Israeli Military takes, I'm pretty sure we'd have knowledge if they raped anyone.

Yes I have heard about that, and I recognize it as a problem. The UN even recognizes it as a problem. So tell me, if the Israel military is one giant raping machine, why hasn't the UN condemned them for it?

honestly look at the persons videos that he has done in the past.... He is a guy who clearly despises Israel. This is a pathetic situation but I guarentee whatever had happened before the incident were edited out by him and were edited to show his hatred to Israel

That being said the situation is pathetic and these people should be ashamed

Oh, like when the UN reseloution to condem Israel's raid on the Turkish flottila last was vetod by the US, or the other time the US vetod EVERYTHING regarding Israel. I'm sure Israel is shaking in it's boots.

1) if you acknowledge them violating international law, doesn't that kinda, you know... break your point about them being under international law?

2) because it's not "one giant raping machine".

3) you demanding "liveleak videos of every action the Israeli Military takes" pretty much shows your flexibility. I give up with you.

Again, not supporting Israel in any way, but to claim "oh they obviously were raping the women" is simply ridiculous. If it were happening, it would be brought up in the UN, even if it would go nowhere thanks to the US veto.

I do not doubt that Israel breaks int'l law, but there is absolutely no evidence of them abducting women to rape them.

I honestly only did this topic for someone to tell me what the hell happened, there are a few people here that are quite clear on the situation. I know the video is edited, so I'm following the standard "untill further notice". I am still seeing women beaten, crying, and taken into trucks, while man shouting "why are you taking the women", and other bleeding.

Which doesn't mean we know what happened. It could have been overreaction on the part of the soldiers...or it could have occurred because of something the women had done. And we don't know where they went....so speculation does nothing but cause problems.

Then nobody should say "Israel is okay because they are monitored by the UN".

As I recall he was stating that if the act occurred that you mentioned...without any support...happened the UN would know. So I don't see the analogy there. As I recall...you aren't fond of Israel are you?

The UN rarely does anything nor neutrally investigate any small Palestine-Israel events. I don't see how my dislike to Israel bears any importance, there are many that don't, I just happen to be more vocal. I'm similar to the next guy that posts a negative Muslim/Arab thread.

"Which doesn't mean we know what happened. It could have been overreaction on the part of the soldiers...or it could have occurred because of something the women haddone. And we don't know where they went....so speculation does nothing but cause problems."

Again, I created the thread to understand and voice opinions. You stick to yours, I'll stick to mine. As I recall, you like to refrain from opinions on many sensitive and controversial material due to "lack of information".

I'm signing out till someone explain this to me.

To be fair, the U.N. tries many times to make Israel behave. But when you have one country that vetoes everything against them it's kind of hard.

By the way, fun fact, here are the countries that always votes in favour of Israel: the United States of America, Australia, Palau, Marshal Islands and Micronesia.

edit: also I agree with you that the negative muslim threads should end to but you should not base your thread simply because those threads exist.

Once again as you continue to ignore my post I will tell you that I already answered your post. Maybe it is because it is not the answer you are looking for but still.

There is no information regarding what occurred before it. This is nothing more then all those police brutality videos that constantly pop up here

There are also clear signs of editing on the owner of this video that you continue to ignore on it

Of course it bears importance. Just as the reason the video was created and what parts were shown has importance. Is there a reason we have to be negative to either Israelis or Muslims?

I refrain from opinions when there is not conclusive evidence as to what happened. Speculation does nothing constructive but often times it's destructive.

No one here can explain it to you because no one here knows what happened. More than likely it seems to me that you want someone to agree with your assumptions. But that doesn't mean they are correct.

As for the UN....it does what it finds to be politically motivated. But yes...they have come down on Israel in the past.

I didn't ignore your posts, I simply payed more attention to the people that quotes me as I passively assumed everyone was replying to the thread. You on other hand seem to have missed some of mine: "I am still seeing women beaten, crying, and taken into trucks, while man shouting "why are you taking the women", and others bleeding.".

A child can see clear of editing, hell there's even an intro. I just make up from what I see. You might have also missed why I created this topic for? It's for better understanding? There's about two people here in OT that are actively aware of the situation.

Just another reason in a mountain on why the US should defund Israel and stop protecting them in the UN.. If Israel doesn't like the consquences.. MAYBE THEY CAN ACTUALLY try to solve it! At this time there is absolutely NO motivation for them to solve the problem.. IN fact its the polar opposite.. They have more reason to illegal take over the West Bank and settle it.. Because the US will continue to coddle them with out question.. This is just another false sense of appeasement.. That if the US asks enough that they will do it, Israel promises they will change.. But they never do.. Pull out all assets from Israel.. If Israel wants to make a change, than do it.. And the US will support them.. And in the end the US should be trying help both sides of the civilians.. In the end supporting Israel is the worse idea ever for the US,a nation that is trying to improve froeign policy with the Middle East.
