Weren't the numbers so high because people didn't take the warnings seriously + the fact that the general public is not trained for evac like Japan + Japan has very strict building codes and tech, etc...

Yea, Thailand is a third world country, and the buildings they had were obviously not built very well. What I am trying to say that if it's to hit anywhere it's good that it hit Japan...I know that sounds terrible.. but they're the most prepared, and the death tolls would have been much higher anywhere else.Please Log In to post.
