Nope, were still missing best foreign language and best documentary features. Also best editing.
A majority of her work was for television.[QUOTE="Hallenbeck77"][QUOTE="JML897"]Was Farrah Fawcett in that dead person tribute? That seems kinda weird to leave her out.JML897
Still, she was in a few movies...if Michael Jackson could be in that montage, so could she. :?
This is true. Michael Jackson was only in like... two movies. And one of them was only had his appearance for a few seconds.[QUOTE="JML897"]

Oh, you're right. The teaser thing before the commercial lied to me :x
I want it to go to Jason Reitma more though, but I assume he doesn't have a chance because Up in the Air hasn't won anything else.
I thought everyone was on the same page that Avatar would win that one without a doubt. :PJazz_FanOh I knew Avatar was going to win it. I just didn't want it to. :P

I still liked looking at Star Trek and District 9 more. I also just don't want to support something as contrived as Avatar. Sure, it was an experience, but it's just contrived. I don't think it should've been up for anything. wat O________O

"El Secreto de Sus Ojos" is the best foreign language film. Its not going to win because no one has heard of it....this is so sad. Its better than any of the 10 nominated films for best picture.
HOLY CRAP YES. OMG IM SO HAPPY!
Its not an upset. It's the best movie of the year.
I called it a long time ago in another thread, if people saw this movie, they would vote for it. It deserves it.

Hey it won.:D
Yes it did! :D Its probably because of the rule the instituted last year (when "Departures" won) that Academy voters have to actually watch all 5 nominees before voting.
I called it a few months ago! I will look for the thread for the link, I said "if people see the movie, they will vote for it, its amazing". I remember talking to sammy-(something) about it. He asked me where I had seen it because its not available on DVD or anything.
Hopefully now its going to get at least a limited release in the U.S. so people can get to see it.
I love how they're seriously talking about the three main contenders for Best Picture being The Hurt Locker, Avatar, and...The Blindside.JML897I thought the Blindside was a good movie, but in no way should it have been nominated. I personally think Up should win Best Picture.
