In our current Capitalist society no they shouldn't HAVE to. But they shouldn't be paid so much money in the first place so that there is more money to go to the minimum wage workers who are just barely getting by. sutherland19How about, minimum wage workers should find better jobs.
Well rich people should give some of their money away to help the poor (e.g. health, education) otherwise it is just selfish and anarchic. Don't forget, the rich people MADE their money from the people so they should give some back in the form of welfare.
No I'm not a communist.

We do, its called taxes. Then they use it as well-fare money. (whick usually go to people who are lazy and waste in anyways)Well rich people should give some of their money away to help the poor (e.g. health, education) otherwise it is just selfish and anarchic. I've seen how lazy people that don't want to work hard end up settling for minimum wage jobs. They wanted to be stupid and wasted their high school opportunities, so now they're stuck with low paying jobs. Failing at high school isn't the end of the world, though. My father never went to high school because he came here from Mexico. He started out at a minimum wage position, but now he makes about $25/hr because he decided to get into construction, a job that is widely available but not done by many because it's "hard", and he worked hard in order to gain the attention of his superiors and get promoted. He's not rich, but he makes more than enough for us to get by. I'm doing great in high school so that I don't ever have to work for a small amount of money. If the people at McDonald's or Wal-Mart had done that themselves, then they wouldn't have to work there.[QUOTE="tycoonmike"][QUOTE="Conanfan1"][QUOTE="sutherland19"]In our current Capitalist society no they shouldn't HAVE to. No. Rich people have the right to do what they please with their money. Poor people are poor because of their own choices in life. It's their own fault they didn't go to college and get a decent job. No one should be give anything. Everyone should have to earn their place in the world.SmashBrosLegendIt's either you've never gone out of your own house, you haven't experienced much of life yet, or you're just good old fashioned ignorant. Bill Gates' family was wealthy. He went to Harvard.

Are you saying it's not their fault they didn't go to college? Could they not have worked hard enough to earn scholarships and take out loans?Bill Gates's company was very small when they first started. It was just a group of friends from school writing a computer program. Now look at em.

A very good amount of them areno, its not the rich person's fault that the poor man is poor.teh_destroyerwhat if like the rich man took the poor mans job? or the poor man worked for the rich man and the rich man fired him?

No one CHOOSES to be poor, sure there are some people who do slack off in highschool and are now paying for it for the rest of their lives...which isn't really fair. But there are also people that no matter how hard they try they can't get ahead, meanwhile the rich live in luxury buying millions of dollars worth of things that they don't need at all...now I know that is definitely not fair...but unfortunately that's Capitialism!

Just because High school is easy for you, does not mean it is easy for everyone, someone not gifted with school smarts is not going to have a chance of getting a scholarship. It's not like getting a scholarship is a very easy thing to do. And sure sometimes people can succeed even if they start poor, but this is a small number compared to the amount that don't succeed.
