You don't see a person changing their mind in the meatspace. It requires introspection, which takes some time.

[QUOTE="alexside1"][QUOTE="JinjonatorX"] You spend 15-30 minutes proofreading your argument? Haha, oh wow. There's so many things wrong with that, not the least of which is the fact that it takes less than 15 minutes between each of your posts (which makes what you said blatantly and, moreover, confusingly wrong; why would you lie about something dumb like that?). JinjonatorX

15-30 minutes is an estimate for me. Like I said, writing is difficult for me.

It's a pretty bad estimate, given that no post you've made thus far as taken anywhere near 15 to 30 minutes to right, and if you're actually proofreading what you write, that's sad, considering how poorly written it is. But that's all beside the point. Speaking of which, you never proved how seeing nudity or fake gore can mess you up for life. Then again, you haven't addressed ANY point made in any reasonable way.

I said before writting is defcult for me. Having hard time expressing my though progress at the internet.

You should probably work on that, then. And maybe address my point while you're at it. Even if you have to do so in broken English, it's better than nothing.

Its ok we are not here to judge people's ability to write but for instance implying that GS censoriship is proof for why nudity can be harmful to children isnt really dependant on your ability to write.

I can sympathise since English isnt my native language but come on...

You don't know me more than I do. I have a hard time communicating to people over the internet (when it comes to complex subjects) by typing. I don't know why really. Most of the time I get stuck on the simple notation of what to say how do I say it, are there any problems with it. It takes me minutes instead of seconds like other people.

I dont doubt that.

I only doubt that that is the sole reason why your arguments havent achieved their goals.

Why...would I lie about that? I mean, why bother talking to anyone on the internet if you're gonna automatically assume they're lying about EVERYTHING THEY SAY? It makes no sense. And this thread has gone so far off from the original topic it's bloody astounding.

I don't think that rules/laws exists without a reason.(when it comes to the government). If nudy is censor than there must be a reson for it. People find it offence for some reason. And allowing nudy increass the rating to 18 and such. It must be bad for the kids if that were the case.

Of course all laws probably have a rationale behind them. That doesnt mean that rationale is automatically correct or justified.

And then America was China.

The country where copyright law is practically meaningless?

The country where everything is censored.

Even youtube and BBC are blocked.

I didnt notice the Headline: "US To block Youtube and and BBC".

Piracy is much more rampant in China and the Chinese governemnt does little to stop it..

You didn't claim that, I never said you did. I was merely pointing out that the reason isn't due to it turning people into sexual deviants. To my knowledge, countries where sex isn't treated as a taboo have LOWER rape and sex crime rates compared to places where sex as treated as the darkest of all sins.

Not making it legal, just not really enforcing the law.

And also, not allowing companies to sue for $50,000+ per song pirated.

There is no solution. Pirates will always be around no matter what anyone tries to do. Piracy will never go away and if you try to make it harder for the pirates they will just break down whatever barrier you have put up within a matter of days or weeks. Hackers seem to take these things as a challenge just to say haha we beat you. Whatever the government tries to do will fail

Way to miss the point honestly. If they block these sites now than they can block other sites later. You give the government a little power and they always grab for more and more

[QUOTE="alexside1"][QUOTE="jaydough"] Not really doing anything.

jaydough

So basicly turn a blind eye on priacy and make it legal?

Not making it illegal, just not really enforcing the law.

And also, not allowing companies to sue for $50,000+ per song pirated.

Sue 50,000 to the hacker, not the downloader. Just hunt down those hackers.

"Sorry we can't give you access to this site. It contains information that might cause "civil disobedience."

It's a very dangerous precedent to set. I'd rather not live in China.

Really? I can still go on Youtube, BBC, MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, ABC, etc.....oh wait...China blocks those websites....god forbid we try to clamp down on piracy by blocking these websites. Also if you havent noticed...China doesnt block websites that offer illegal downloads...

Way to miss the point honestly. If they block these sites now than they can block other sites later. You give the government a little power and they always grab for more and more

You know, the same thing can be said about the health care plan.

It's the end of the world as we know it..

That's all I've really got to say about this. What little faith I had in government is now shattered. I have no_more_fayth in government.

Anyone can rip songs off a cd, you don't have to be a hacker

We sort of call them crackers.

And for music piracy, there really isn't a crack, just some guy rips the cd, and starts seeding it, in order to get freeleach.
