No it doesn't. You can argue that the people in power need to be removed (though I don't recommend that the US be the ones to do it), but to argue for the destruction of a region of such historic and cultural value is just foolish.
Probably this. It should be noted that Israel has probably the most advanced military in the region so it would probably be bad for the attackers even without the US intervening.

No, thats exactly why that entire area should fall into the mediterranean sea. Its a ton of people spilling blood over a foolish concept to begin with. It has far outlived its useful or cultural value.

Many of the reason america does things are valid - not necessairly good reasons- but valid ones. Most of the fighting around Israel occurs because people believe their sky-wizard's prophet was better than the other sky-wizard's prophet.
